We're lucky enough to have this family run bakery in our town of Louth. Over Easter we have enjoyed their brioche hot cross buns. Really delicious.

Moved recently to the area and delighted at the local shops in Louth. Been in quite often to buy buns, cakes, etc. Odd setup though - a bit off-putting to see a ham shank in the same display as the cakes - a veggie's nightmare. (Is this a baker or a butcher?) The service, which started out fine, has worsened each time I've been - culminating in a recent visit where I was barked at, Do you have a mask?!" as I approached the counter. PM Johnson had just changed the rules (yet again!) and I'd come from a cafe with no masks. As the only customer in the bakery

Excellent! Perfect BLT, soft roll, crisp lettuce fresh tomatoes and bacon just coloured enough round the edges for that optimum flavour, delicious! Just what I needed this morning, Thankyou very much!! Their Brownies and Cherry slab are both delicious too, the brownie is really rich and decadent..go on....give it a try!

90 th party. Ordered buns for party on sat 21.3.20. On the 20.3.20 all pubs clubs and bars were to close by order of the government at midnight that day. We rang as soon as the news came though at 1700 on national news to cancel our order as the party would have to be prospered. No answer but left a message on answering machine. 0730 on the sat rang again to confirm the order had been cancelled, but again the answer phone kicked in. Asked the order to be cancelled again. Leaving a number to reply to my calls. No response. Went down to the shop in Louth to speak directly to the staff in the shop, the lady that spoke to us said it was impossible to contact the bakery that was supplying our order. When we explained the situation and asked for a refund £300.00. For 100 filled buns she then was able to pick up the phone and apparently contact the bakery in Alford. Returned to inform us that at 0800 that morning the fillings were already on the buns awaiting to be delivered to the event at 1900. We also offered to buy the buns without the fillings. And be refunded the difference but again was told the fillings were already on. I was informed by a caterer that no fillings should be put on the buns until 4 hrs before the event. With all that has happened this weekend I truly believe that a refund would be no problem to this company as selling 300 buns would be no problem, I feel as pensioners that we’ve been robbed. It seems everyone new about the government closures except said bakery. So now 2 pensioners have 300 filled buns to eat, to finish with, my thoughts on this company is there greedy and I advice all to keep clear of them.

I love bakeries like this! I got myself a sourdough loaf, some cranberry sausages rolls and a rhubarb pie and all are well made. If I lived a bit closer I would come here all the time but once every now and then will have to do.

Their original Traditional Plum bread is delicious with butter! Sausage rolls and pasty’s are also good and freshly baked.

Nice food let down by poor customer service. Today I ordered some hot food today at a busy time so I was expecting a wait Being a Saturday the shop was full with customers the whole time I was in there waiting. The lady who took my order was lovely as with the other lady's in the shop. But the old guy who was cooking was not only rude to the other staff whenever they asked a question to him. But to me as well I did not hear him when he said my food was ready due to the other customers in the shop talking and placing orders. When I realised that my order was ready which was a matter of seconds later. I apologised that I did not hear him. He then grunted I did shout you and dumped my food on the counter turn his back on me and walked away. I find this extremely rude as paying customer and I will not being using your shop again whenever he is in the shop

Best sausage rolls and mince pies (the ones with the stars) in the world! Having just returned from Asia and Japan after 5 weeks looking forward to both.Hot and cold sandwiches are also the best in the area and always made using the best fresh bread and rolls and ingredients right in front of you and exactly as you want them always with a smile. A real gem of a tradional family business and one we should be proud is in our area.
