Sherwood Forest Golf Club

Sherwood Forest is a real treat, a friendly welcome from staff and pro and an outstanding golf course. Lots of variety, great greens and not too busy. Highly recommended

Fantastic venue, really nice layout. Staff were very friendly and very welcoming, greens were the only reason this is not a 5 star. Sadly the time of year didn’t help this and you can see from the way of the rest of the golf course that this isn’t a constant issue, we just had it on a bad day. Will definitely intend to be back in the future.

Absolute beautyPlayed the Forester 2023 event with a much needed practice round the day before, what a course and brill layout. greens excellent and slick. score on the front 9 and hold on round the back 9. you will need your A game with the driver or a spotter :-) £55 with lunch and 54 holes (inc practice round) best value for money EVER. Staff especially Maria outstanding along with super friendly chef/bar staff. the event was really well organised and even with bad weather a joy to attend. 4.45hr per round still didn't dampen the day. a must visit in my eyes one of the best in the UK for sure.

I really enjoyed my round at SFGC, The course offers some nice elevation changes as well as interesting shot options. I would be very happy to play here again

Lovely course, green not great at the moment

I played here as part of a society, we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and it's members.The course is a great track, with the greens being a welcome challenge.It was so quiet during the round too, there aren't any busy roads anywhere near the course.The locker rooms were spacious and the club provides towels for a shower.The food we had afterwards was superb.There is a lot of quality courses in the area, and this is one of them.If you want a buggy, you need to book in advance. The pro in the shop said they only had 3.
