Cafe 51 has a great breakfast menu - and an apparently great daytime menu, although I didn’t try that. The breakfast however was second to none, and even better, the place was open at an early hour at the beginning of my cycling day. Tasty wholesome food, and at a reasonable price. Thoroughly recommended.

Good food; simple and fresh. It’s nothing amazing or extraordinary , just good food which is a nice change from sometimes places trying too hard. I would definitely go back again and recommend for a good lunch out in Southwold. Two of these chicken and wedges and a pot of tea for 2 works out to £25 give or take a quid so not bad at all for Southwold in my opinion.

[email protected] is a good breakfast cafe. Foods great and my latte was exceptional but everything was soo over priced even with the quality of the ingredients in to consideration. When we were seated we were told that they had ran out of white bread but the description of the wholemeal they had was more or less described as a dream come true. We then had a look at the prices and were debating whether we wanted to stay but we stuck to our guns. I ordered the salmon with poached eggs (pictured) because I'd been on cooked breakfasts all week and fancied something a little healthier. I new I'd be hungry without the extra mushrooms but that came to around £17. My partner had pancakes (pictured). Total bill came to £33. On top of the extortionate pricing they make it very easy to leave a tip at the end when you pay via card. It almost felt somewhat embarrassing to not because I personally love to support small local businesses but when they must already be making around 5-600% profit per menu dish and your waiting half an hour for something to arrive that should only take 10 minutes I find this pretty dis-tasteful. Communication and organization with the orders and the young lad that appeared to be doing prep seemed to be a bit disjointed. Lovely place and I can see why it's highly rated but far too over priced to come back.

Delicious food, lovely staff and a bubbly atmosphere. Lots of options - the cakes looked delicious and the food that was coming out the kitchen looked amazing. The bread was so fresh (the best quality bread I've had in a long time) and the sandwich was flavourful and good portion. Lovely seating area and a courtyard out the back to sit also.

Nice staff, especially the younger members of staff, menu is good with plenty of choice - ( it's not just filled up with your usual ) it was pretty busy when we went and I think that they were just about coping. I'd eaten my food by the time my milkshake arrived and my daughter's food arrived. That said the food was good and the staff stayed pleasant. I would go back, but maybe when it was a little quieter.

I hate leaving reviews like this, but I’m afraid the food was very poor and overpriced. I asked for poached EGGS on toast with a side of avocado. I was give slightly bruised avocado on toast with one poached egg on the side. The gluten-free toast was burnt and I got the end crust of the loaf. I got charged £9 for this meal. The lady who gave us the bill was friendly and the drinks were ok. That’s about the only positives. Won’t use them again.

The best mocha I've ever been served! Lovely bright café, highly recommend the French toast with berries and mascapone. Would've loved normal pancakes though- GF made for a difficult texture to pick up

Found this via Google maps and we weren't disappointed. Really great service good coffee and very tasty sausage rolls. The scones and cream were great too.Room for pushchair if you sit out the back and there is baby change with an emergency nappy if you need. Really enjoyed our visit.
