SN Combat Academy (CROYDON)

Friendly to those just getting into the sport and people already familiar. Everyone is treated with respect regardless of ability. It’s the perfect place for those wanting to get into Muay Thai.

I started attending the free Mother's Only classes 3 months postpartum. Not only has it helped me regain my level of fitness but I have also started learning a new skill that I really enjoy. The instructor Nhung has been nothing short of wonderful - she straddles the right balance between pushing and motivating you.

Started training last November. I’ve boxed and done martial arts on and off over the last 20 years and this is by far the best gym. The head coach is very welcoming, professional and experienced. The other trainers are also very good, experienced and friendly. They push me to my fitness limits (like any good gym) and I’m learning how to defend myself and the art of fighting. There is a great vibe in the classes and everyone helps each other. Absolutely love going and highly recommend it. The uniform is excellent too, especially the Muay Thai shorts.

Having trained at 4 different gyms over the space of 6 years I can safely say that SN Combat offers the the highest level of training. The gym provides the perfect balance between energetic technical classes and a supportive family atmosphere. Egos are left at the door and anyone is welcomed to become a part of the team and supported in reaching their personal goals. Through the expert teaching I have grown and developed my skills over the short space of three months.I would highly recommend this gym for adults and children of all levels.

I went here several years ago. Looking to restart training as ive gone unfit but i have to wait till i move out. As last time i came here, there wasn't much cordination i was very confused as they switched the gym locations and things went downhill from there as i was sent to wrong locations. I wish i could recieve some serious training as i really love muay thai but just worried about the way things are run. I am a really motivated student i just have a slight issue with the way that things are done but i learnt some great things when i trained. The issue comes when certain coaches dont really seem motivated to train and are forced there, they end up getting bored and one time they closed up much earlier. During these kind of sessions i didn't feel prioritised :( i do miss one of the amazing coaches who motivated and saw potential in me but he got busy during that time and i do miss the feeling of being recognised and taught and treated as a friend by him. I started training here just over a year ago in my late 20s having never done any form of martial arts before.After this time it is clear this gym has been one of my best experiences. Aside from helping with my overall fitness (which really wasn’t great when I started), I get to learn from great teachers and have made friends along the way.The atmosphere is really welcoming and members are treated like family.

It was my first time and I absolutely loved the session. Coach Sam was very friendly and welcoming. I was assigned to a fighter and he taught me the basics and combos. Will become a member! Exciting for this journey. :)

I've done mauy Thai for 10 years. New to the area and this place had good reviews. Went to go check it out. After finding the gym which was a pretty small single room. I came in said I was new and thinking of joining. The coach didn't introduce himself or ask me my name or if I had done marshal arts before just have you signed up online". I said I had not the coach replied with "no free trials" I told him that's fine do you mind if I just watch to see if this is the right place for me. Sure take a seat. After 30 minutes of warm ups the coach gave some combos on the pads to do. While the class were doing the drills the coach offered no guidance or assistance to the less experienced students that had no idea on what to do. I left before the class was over. Considering there where only 8 students in the class one would think they would be more inviting to someone thinking of joining."

My Son joined the Academy 3 months ago and he is loving it. The instructors are very polite and dedicated, specially the 1-2-1 instructor (Siggy). Sam himself is available most of the times and very approachable. Highly recommended !!
