We stopped in at 9ish desperate for 2 tiny screws to save a multi day cycling trip. We were served by someone friendly, knowledgeable, and intent on solving our problem. We left 15 mins later having spent £1.10 and had a screw cut to the perfect size. We've cycled 30 miles since and are so pleased. Great service, lovely shop with everything you might need.

Excellent service and price.Hired a wacker plate for the day that was cheaper than other tool hire sites in town. No hassle, friendly staff and would highly recommend.

Just wanted to comment on the excellent service I received, the sales assistant 'Peter' was incredibly helpful and really got me out of a fix. He was attentive conscientious and clearly enjoyed his work and went out of his way to help. The key cutting service was second to none, a big thank you from me.

I ordered a BBQ on Tuesday late afternoon and it arrived on Thursday. I'm sure it would have arrived the next day of is ordered earlier in the day . Everyone I contacted responded quickly and everything was dealt with efficiently. Price was fantastic too. Would highly recommend.

If you want to be treated like your a strange person go to Roses and ask for a refund. It took 8 mins to get a refund done. The manger was called to come out to investigate and review my reason for wanting to refund Jars id bought days prior. The jars hadn't even come out of the bag. They still had the roses price stickers on them. But the sales assistant acted as if it was a strange request, asking to bring the jars back. She called out her manger who acted the same asking why do you want a refund. is there something wrong. we just wonder if there's something wrong with it why you want a refund. looking very suspicuse and unheard of. I had to explain why id bought them and that id found triple the amount of jars for far cheaper and I actually need more jars but it was quit expensive to get the amount I really needed same brand of jars by the way. They looked really angry and relieved it was because id found it more affordable else where. I don't recommend them by any stretch of the imagination. The level of crazy the manger and assistant attitude over asking for a refund just ruined the rest of my day. it was as if I had personally offended them. there are plenty of nice shops you can go to that aren't over priced too!

Thought they were okay at first but then took a sthil hedge cutter attachment in to be sharpend, one week later it stopped working, got told it was poor maintenance. (Sap apparently stopping the blades from moving)One and a half years working fine then one week later after being told its my fault.Got charged £48 both time. Had a kombi serviced and was told £60/70 and was £98.

Friendly service, helpful advice, and a proper high street ironmongers that so many towns have lost over the years. The range of products stocked in this Aladdin’s Cave is incredibly comprehensive.

Amazed at the size of this place. From the outside, it looks nothing like the inside.Staff were friendly and helpful.

Brilliant shop with a million bits n bobs that you can buy individually, something rarely seen these days. Great staff as well, very helpful. Will definitely be looking there for those unusual bits that those big shops don't carry.
