The most incredible wedding venue and team there is. Thank you for making our wedding day the most perfect and memorable day of our lives. Emma, Vanessa, Nelson and the rest of the Grittleton team were amazing from the moment we booked our wedding to the wedding day. Emma was always on hand to answer questions but also to advise on the decisions we were making in the planning process. On the day they made sure everything went smoothly from the timings, the attentiveness of waiting and bar staff ,to the positioning of guest book/ photo frames. You truly blew us away with your support and dedication on the day, it felt like you were our friends at our wedding.As food lovers we knew food would be an important part of our day. We customised our wedding breakfast menu with the chef and it was everything we dreamed of. The quality and quantity of the food and the presentation is exceptional. We have had so many compliments from guests about how it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. People have not stopped talking about the food from the canapés, to the wedding breakfast and to the evening food. The bar staff were amazing and made incredible cocktails to start our evening reception.The house itself is breathtaking. It is so beautiful and feels likes such a special and magical place. It was perfect for photographs inside and outside in the grounds too.Grittleton House truly has a special place in our hearts and we can not wait to find an excuse to come back. Thank you once again for making our wedding day even more perfect than we could have ever imagined.

I can't find the right words to explain how perfect Grittleton house has been. The venue alone is absolutely spectacular, we have had so many guests comment on what a beautiful place it is. The different rooms provide so much functionality and really gives a homely feel to the day as it's all under one roof. Our grandparents loved being able to sit in the library and chat away peacefully whilst the party was taking place in another room.As a food lover we can also say that the food was brilliant. We have since had so many people comment on how tasty it was and how the service was so seemless. The timings were spot on.Emma, Vanessa, Nelson and the rest of the Grittleton team were amazing from the moment we booked our wedding to the actual day. They made sure everything went smoothly and there really is not one thing that could be faulted, thank you!Grittleton house is a very special place to Chlo and I, and although we are lucky that it is so close to home we will miss not being able to pop in and just appreciate how stunning the place really is.

Beautiful venue for a wedding! My sister got married here in July and it was truly wonderful. The grounds are absoloutley stunning as well as the rooms to sleep in and change in when getting ready on the morning of the wedding. The venue enabled a truly magical day!

My husband and I had a 2-day wedding at Grittleton House and from start to finish Vanessa and Nelson were incredible. In the lead up to the wedding they worked with us to ensure every detail was taken care of. Over the course of the 2 days, Nelson was there at every turn with any questions and charmed every guest. He was truly a light. The staff behind the bar was also incredible, they made sure every little thing was taken care of with no stress and lended a helping hand wherever needed. Everyone at our wedding also complimented on how amazing the food was and how it was one of the most beautiful venues they had ever been to. Highly recommend.

I had my wedding here in May and I could not recommend it enough. The whole house is stunning and very well maintained along with the rooms in the main house that are beautifully renovated. Throughout our whole experience of booking up to the wedding day Emma was very organised and on hand over email which made the process easy. on the final run through meeting Emma was very good at advising how much drinks to include and what wasn't necessary etc and best timings based on experience. Our tasting evening was also fab we loved the food and a great chance to try everything.On the day all the staff were perfect, we even had a mix up by a guest but Emma and Nelson fixed it smoothly and quickly so my husband didn't have to worry. Nelson was also super helpful on the day, calming and directing us both on the best things to do and where to be. The food was great, we mixed and matched menu's which allowed us to chose what worked for us. On the morning of Emma directed all my suppliers so I didn't have to deal with anything. A lovely little touch at the end of our wedding too was slices of cake being left in our room as we didn't get any during the day.Overall everything was amazing about Grittleton and meant we had the best wedding day with our guests commenting how much they loved the venue and enjoyed walking around the gardens.

We got married at Grittleton in August 2023 and it was exactly the day we dreamed of! The venue, gardens, accommodation, food and staff were all perfect. The place is beautifully decorated and well maintained - so many great spots for photos and filming. The Drawing Room where the bridal party get ready is gorgeous and it was lovely to prepare for the day in such beautiful and comfortable room.Emma the event coordinator is a superstar and a brilliant source of help and advice for Bride and Grooms in planning the day and getting into the final details. Nelson the venue coordinator was on hand throughout our wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly. Guests repeatedly told us how good the food was and how impressed they were with the venue and staff. The house bedrooms are stunning and are a great bonus to offer family and wedding party as they come with the venue hire. Guests also said the Stables accommodation was comfortable.Hiring Grittleton is literally like having your own stately home - cannot recommend the venue enough!

Wow what can we say about Grittleton!We had the most perfect day.We fell in love with Grittleton as soon as we drove up the drive back in Jan 2020. Unbeknownst to us our chosen date of October 2020 wouldn’t go ahead. Emma made each postponement (we had a few) seamless. It could have been a very stressful time, but Emma & the owners kept us updated throughout lockdown.When our time finally come in April 2023 the house was even shiner than before with newly renovated rooms.They made you feel like it’s your home for the day. We had a lot of out-of-town guests and they all commented on how amazing the house was.Nelson & the team were fantastic, they answered all questions & were on hand to help with our 11-month-old daughter who was napping in her buggy they kept an eye on her whilst the speeches had begun & informed us when she was awake.We would highly recommend this venue to any newly engaged couples. Not only is the house beautiful but the knowledge Emma has to help you to plan your perfect wedding is invaluable.If you want a personalised service in a stunning house with amazing gardens this is the place for you.Mr & Mrs B

This is an amazing place. I was a wedding guest last Friday and loved everything about Grittleton House - the house, the gardens, the food, the bar... The staff was very professional despite their young age. I could see that my friends getting married were able to ask for many adaptations to their tasting, which was really nice.I slept at the Stables, which weren't bad lodging at all.
