Really nice village cafe. Popped in as we were passing so thought we'd try it. The menu is pretty small, offering all day breakfast items, sandwiches, soup, and such, but all very fresh and delicious.

Located within 'The Old Corn Mill' at Bretherton, this place was called 'The Village Pantry'. Since October 2022, it has been called 'Remedy'. Have been here before for coffee and cake, this was our first afternoon tea. Different to our other experiences in terms of you choose the sandwich that you would like. Hot sourdough sandwiches and wraps were available. My Mum and I both had a Katsu chicken wrap. Savouries included Cheese and onion quiche and Pork and apple sausage rolls. Cakes included were Coffee and walnut, White chocolate blondies, Brownies, Apple cake and a scone, cherry jam and cream. All savouries and cakes are freshly home made. At £12.50 each it was excellent value and we will be coming back.

My son and I went for afternoon tea, and it was absolutely fabulous. Located at the Corn Mill in Bretherton where you can browse and buy antiques curios etc. Remedy is licensed and stocks a selection of beers etc. Instead of an assortment of sandwiches we chose one off the main menu. A choice of a wrap, toastie, or sourdough. Slightly different, but it worked! We both had a Katsu Chicken wrap. A 3 tier stand held, Cheese and Onion Quiche, Sausage Roll with apple in it, a Chocolate Brownie, a Blondie, Coffee and Walnut cake, Apple Cake, and of course a Scone with jam and cream! Not forgetting a choice of tea or coffee. All home made, and delicious. Afternoon tea for two at £25-00. Well worth it. They kindly wrapped some up for me because I was full! It is wheelchair accessible, but there isn't a wheelchair accessible toilet that I could see. A big thank you to Simon and his team. Hope to see you soon to try something else.

We popped in to check this spot out as we pass it a lot. Glad we did! Got a really good chai latte, loose leaf tea and cakes to take away. All delish! Lemon polenta cake was excellent. The menu looks great so we'll be back to try that out next time ☺️

Remedy
Limited opening hours but pleasant atmosphere. Cakes looked homemade and were delicious. Cappuccino was good, a fairly strong blend, similar to what you might expect in a European country.
