First Choice Homes Oldham

I am currently a resident in a block, and the service is excellent.... no problems.

I submitted an application for alterations to my property. This is decided at a panel who sit every 2 weeks. My application was submitted 13/07/2022I am still wait for a answer. 36 days later. The department initially expressed an acceptable explanation . However this is no longer the case and has ceased answering emails and no calls are returned. This is very very poor service that seems to dismiss the tenants as an inconvenience

Fantastic organisation, do so much good in the local community. Gone from strength to strength in recent years. The in-house maintenance team deserve a special mention for their diligent care of properties and people

I might have given a better rating but, wow what a price hike for the communal heating. 293% increase!!!!!! (nope thats not a typo) Even being sensible using it will still bankrupt most tenants.

There is a toxic culture when it comes too first choice homes.in the past I have been discriminated & treated unfairly due to me being autistic. Not been listened to by the housing officer regarding safety issues in my community. This as brought me too the point of not being able too trust or ask for help in any way. I have even come across members of staff that have gone out of their way to make me feel worthless & like a second class citizen

Ive suffered with mental health since being a very young child. Im 60 years old now and im at an all time low, struggling, i would like toThank the first choice home team for stepping in and giving me all the help they could, i have gas, food and had a phone appointment from my doctors to recive theraphy for my mental health. I truly can thank you all enough. The team have so much Empathy Compassion and understanding for peoples situations, im overwhelmed at the response ive received considering i didnt ask for the help, one of the outreach staff was on the ball and noticed something was wrong with me and i thank het for be so observant because of her i am alive today, she reached out in a way that she left me with my dignity. A big thank you to all members of stafff from first choice home who have rangs me concerning my situation, they all went above and beyond to treat me with the upmost respect. Thank you all so very much.

Absolute waste of time . I suffer with aniexty mental health . Autism . I was put on emergency move due to naighbors making death threats towards me .Was offerd a property waited 6 months nothing but excuses to why the property wasn't ready for me .They offerd me a property that was still lived in I was later told.Then they ring me saying I'm Now not allowed the property after doing my packing ripping up my flooring and getting rid of stuff .Then they are saying I can't bid on other properties as I'm apperntly not high priority.They also offerd my property I'm currently in to a homeless person .The staff spoke down on me did nothing but lie to me the housing officer s never answer the phone

The worst service ever !!!!!! Had a big damp at the kitchen , getting bigger and bigger Im waiting months for sb to start the job but nothing happened !!!!!!

Really good out of hours emergency repairs service.

Had a bad experience as a Tennant with them. Attitude of certain staff I found really bad. Had to relocate away from Oldham for harassment from four members of there staff
