Such a wonderful stopover here. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Fantastic cooked breakfast served to the room due to covid restrictions being in place. Highly recommend.

Absolute hidden gem of a place to stay. Spent a couple of nights here and the whole experience was a pleasure. Hoping to get back in the autumn.

The Old Rectory is a fantastic B&B! The room was charming, the grounds lovely, and the welcome warm, from both the proprietors and the friendly cocker spaniel. Additionally, they went above and beyond to provide an excellent breakfast, even for the vegan member of our party. Highly recommend, for anyone walking The Cleveland Way!

Probably the best accommodation we had so far while walking the Cleveland way. Beautiful place with large room, fantastic bathroom with huge bath which was very welcome after walking over the moors in the pelting wind and rain.Ian was more than happy to drive us to the nearest pub, but all we wanted was to soak in the bath and have a few drinks that we secured from the amazing ladies next door.Boots dried by the fire, cracking breakfast in the morning and of we went again.Ta very much.
