Q-Tek Systems

As someone who is absolutely useless with technology my experience wit Q- tek was absolutely superb.. I needed a printer to go with my laptop and the staff took the time to find me the right one, set it all up for me and made me aware of a few things on my laptop which needed upgrading.Fast efficient friendly service and very reasonable . Took the time to also set up my smart bracelet for me.Cannot recommend the staff at Q-Tek enough.Thank you for the brilliant service and will definitely be going back in the future.

Amazing customer service. Always better to go to these little businesses than big branded stores.

Excellent service. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Managed to resolve problems at very short notice, explained everything well. Very reasonable pricing. Will definitely use again. Bonus of having free street parking too!

It is rare in my opinion these days to find a Company that is prepared to help" you when you have a problem that most others would just say" it's not worth repairing" or it's just too small a job and not worth their while!Well at Q-Tek Systems in Old Town Stevenage are in a different class altogether and I wish to personally thank the owner Marc for offering to repair my iPad Alesis iDock studio housing unit which developed a fault with the power adapter input which was cutting out due to the component on the pcb board had become loose and was making and breaking contact causing the iPad to disconnect from the sound system whilst performing at live gigs which is to say the least very embarrising and scarry!!!!I wanted to illiminate the power connection on the board and replace it with a fly lead instead so no stress was put on the board by plugging it in and out after every event which caused the issue in the first place.These components are not really robust enough for this type of use and once plugged in should really be left and not put to constant use.I took it to Q-Tek who I had not used previously and showed Marc the issue and he immediately without any reservations said "We can fix that for you not a problem" and suggested a couple of options that would solve the fault.He quoted me a cost of £30.00 and said it would ready the next day.I couldn't believe it

BEWARE! I recently went into Q-tek and got specs and prices for a Laptop and a Desktop PC. Prices were very good. I then ask what would happen if one of the products was to fail after say 18 months. I was told I had 12 month warranty and would have to pay for repairs. I then asked about my Consumer rights and the person I was speaking with said he knew nothing about that! I then informed him about the 2015 Consumer Rights act and that they would still have some responsibility for an item lasting a reasonable amount of time". He still insisted he knew nothing about it and kept quoting 12 month warranty!! I left the shop

Mark and the team are always super helpful and knowledgeable, I've used them for 2 upgrades recently that turned out to be much harder than expected and took a bit longer but they didn't charge more than their original quote even tho they had spent more time working on it than anticipated. When I was unable to collect my PC they even offered to drop it back since I lived locally - that's real customer service;!!

Entered the store and told them roughly what I wanted. They were honest with upgrades. Was great to not be told I need stuff that I don't. Ended up spending £1500 and really enjoying the experience of the staff. So good to be treated like a customer and not an annoyance. Good selection of necessary computer parts. Some need be ordered in but unless you in a rush like me it's no problem. Similar prices to big retailers but far better service.. All the need is a vending machine and a couple comfy chairs and I would always have an excuse. To spend more money.. Fantastic store..

Just picked up my printer only 24 hours after taking it in for declogging." I hadn't used it for ages and the inks had dried.Despite me doing lots of head and nozzle cleaning to no avail Ryan got it working again to perfection. Thank you guys. Absolutely no problem in recommending you to all those that could do with your brilliant service."

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!I had a custom built PC which i was having a few issues with getting compatible parts for (an easy fix for a professional service). I took this to Qtek early September of 2022, they then promised that they could find the right components and get this working for me, however i went many weeks and months without any contact from them, each time i needed an update i had to relentlessly call them, they sounded rushed on the phone each time i spoke with them, and almost each time i was told to wait as they hadn't had time to look at this although it had been numerous weeks, on top of that they didn't know how to fix the machine and provided me with false information which stalled the progress even more, i was tired of waiting so went to pick the PC up mid December and they still charge you an extortionate fee for doing nothing at all, if you respect your time and money do not use QTEK!
