Amazing experience that is suitable for both beginners and those more experienced people who like to grill! Cooking (and eating) 8-courses on various BBQ’s was something I’ll never forget; easy to understand and reapply the skills on my own set up at home.

I recently attended the 'A Taste of Italy' course and I can not recommend this highly enough. From a welcoming environment the moment we arrived, to fantastic instruction from Jake during the course, to an all round pleasent experience that I will most definately be returning to. Webber Grill Academy next and then who knows.............Maybe I'll go from giving Google starts to recieving Michelin Stars!!!!! ;-)

I attended a plant based cookery course with 3 friends & we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We gained some new & interesting recipes & ideas to expand our plant & vegetarian repertoire which was very useful. Everything was demonstrated well & professionally but with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were celebrating a special birthday & it was a really good way to have fun quality time cooking together. I’ve already booked again to take my grandson for his 9th birthday at half term!!

I've previously done the Dude Food" class at Abinger Cookery School and today did the Weber Grill Academy Master Gas Grilling session. Both were absolutely fantastic. The food we cooked (and ate!) was delicious and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. I'd thoroughly recommend any course at the Abinger Cookery School and will no doubt be back again!"

I have now attended 3 full-day courses and an evening class here with my next course already booked for next month. Each one has been excellent as a standalone class, while each one gives you skills to take forward to make the most out of the next. The instructors are wonderful, coming from a range of backgrounds. All are knowledgeable, personable, and happy to field any questions or repeat anything you need to see again. The classes have a number of items you make yourself with the measuring and washing up taken care of. In addition, there are some extra items demonstrated by the instructor to help give you even more material for you to take away with you.I always end up with enough for lunch (with wine provided) and enough to take home to feed the family for the evening (your family’s appetites may vary).I am now looking forward to taking my first Webber BBQ course on site and already eyeing ing up their fermentation and Indian cookery courses.

My wife and I attended the Basic Knife Skills course with Jake, and it was truly excellent. Jake is a first-rate teacher - friendly, knowledgeable, articulate, patient. Not to mention a great cook! We'll most certainly be going back for more classes!

For my recent birthday, I was given the great gift of a day at Abinger Cookery School to learn how to prepare, cook (and eat) various types of game. On our day, we learned how to bone, de-breast and cook wood pigeon, pheasant and duck, and also how much easier it is when your knives are properly sharpened!! We were taught expertly by one of the School’s chef instructors, Jake, who along with the birds guided us while we made potato rösti, celeriac rémoulade, pankoed, cubed black pudding, spiced blackberry purée, charred sweetcorn, confit pheasant leg (to later make delicious panko coated croquettes). As much as possible, we (7 attendees) were all “hands on”which allowed us all to absorb so much more than just simple demonstrations. The Abinger kitchens are perfect for these courses - plenty of individual workspace, equipment in abundance, and all the washing up is done by their wonderful support team. I highly recommend this particular game cookery class, and will definitely be signing up for another course in the new year!

I attended a fantastic bread making course in July 2023. The school is lovely and our group spent the day making 4 different types of bread, taught by Maddie. The focaccia we prepared and cooked in the morning was enjoyed for lunch alongside a selection of other bits prepared for us (and a glass of wine!) which was lovely. We then finished our last breads in the afternoon before taking them all home to enjoy.A wonderful day and wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another course or recommend to others.
