The Oven at Overton Farm
We didn't even get to enjoy our experience. We were looking forward to a coffee and there was a sign outside to wait but it was pouring down and cold so we stood inside at the main door waiting for someone to get us. Nobody came to see us and it was only when one of us started walking she pulled us up and was abrupt and cheeky and kept glaring at us. When she asked us to follow her to a table, she threw the menus down and walked away. Needless to say we left and found somewhere else.

A lovely little cafe right next to the farm shop. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff are kind and helpful and the cakes are to die for! I went to meet friends for lunch last week and enjoyed it so much, I went again today and took my husband. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place to eat. Food is top quality and portion size is pretty generous. Staff are friendly and attentive.I had a full breakfast. It was a true Scottish breakfast. Haggis, black pudding, tattie scone etc. No beans....which make it a winner for me!This is by far the best place to eat in the Clyde Valley.

The Oven at Overton Farm
Arrived at a busy period on a Sunday late afternoon. Waited about ten minutes for a table but that was no big deal. Staff were really busy but they seemed to be coping well. There was two or three things unavailable from the menu but luckily I didn't want any of that anyway. Steak pie with tatties, peas and carrots was very filling and tasty. My lady companion had macaroni and chips as she has never tried this dish before owing to her upper middle class social status. She was somewhat bemused that floigras and oysters were not on the menu...oh how she laughed. She liked the macaroni anyway so all well that ends well....even for posh lassies. Staff were polite and attentive.

Nice family atmosphere with lots Servers on top of tabke service. Choice food varied from light to heavier meals. By early afternoon had run out if several users on menu. It's one if the newer restaurants on Clyde Valley run, infact best described as a large ooen cafe. Children welcome, dogs nit.

New review after a brilliant visit today. Our daughter finished Primary School today so we took her and her friends for Afternoon Tea.The staff could not have done anything more to make our visit awesome! They sat the girls at their own big table, they made their sandwiches exactly as they would have wanted them (plain for all you parents out there) and they attended their every need like wee grown ups.My wife and I enjoyed an amazing Afternoon Tea (in perfect peace) at the other end of the restaurant. Everyone here was enjoying their food and the bright airy atmosphere.However it was the amazing Customer Service we recieved today that made it amazing. I am truly grateful for making my daughters day, and ours.

Really like visiting here. The food and bakeries are great. The little shop is one of my favourites for fruit. Not the cheapest but the staff are so friendly. No hesitation in recommending.
