Homebase - Oldbury

I did post originally 3 years ago a 5 star review but now unfortunatley it is a 1 star due to the customer service recieved from Sam and Kevin i told them i watched a family of 3 switch my perfectly good gazebo with the reduced one, they even had the audacity to put the reduced sticker on the mint one as they laugh there way out of the store i told Sam whomfrankly did not care and still charged me full price for the reduced one, Kevin come into the picture because he chose not to listen when i said my box was mint and they had switched it to the scraggy reduced one which his response was no one has even used it, i even asked them to check the items which they did not really do they just went through the steps, okay is it had not ever been used then why is the box held together by sellotape and the poles by some material when they are normally tapped, there is more to the story but too long for a review, any way very disgruntled i paid full prive for the gazebo to protect my kids from the sun in the paddling pool, i then took it home and done the checks myself there poles where scratched and butchured, half the silver locking pins missing and in general bad health, i have now returned the item and will be waiting for my £100 parking charge which homebse will be paying

Indoor plants and outdoor plants.. kitchen thing is very nice. Very nice sofa cover and kids sofa very cute.

I like Homebase but always feels deserted. Staffing seems minimal and struggle to find anyone around the store other than behind the customer service desk. Tills are rarely on when I visit and all sales seem to be put through on the customer service desk, ofcourse this doesn't affect the experience but just doesn't feel bustling and welcome compared to other stores that sell the same products.

What an awful place. I went on Saturday to purchase some heathers. The plants outside were a total DISGRACE. Had to ask a staff member to change a plant because in the darkness I didn't notice it was BROWN. His attitude (Steve) was just rude, rude, rude. The whole place was dark, felt like we needed a tourch. Staff looked fed up and borred. Horrible experience i will not visit this store again.

The HomeBase sale is on and they have some good deals on outdoor furniture etc. following the summer washout. There are deals on ceramic tiles too but the type we wanted didn't have the right shading so left empty handed

Click and collect was so easy . Shop from the comfort of your home and nip out to collect it . Saves trying to decide in the store .

Excellent store. Good selection of Christmas on display and at reasonable prices. Quick good service and with a smile.

Shelf stocked early morning near the noon it was already empty, I leave the rest to you ow and It's in a business park... parking not a problem

Good store, easy to get to, clean and tidy. Help full staff. The staff there was so nice that he helped me look for the colour of paint I wanted and helped me choose and saved me money with his advice.

Great place! Must visit if you need to stock up...
