Second Hand Tyres

STUNGThese guys have two shops, one on Leagrave Rd and one by Matalan. Bought a couple of winter tyres to have fitted to my car elsewhere along with an alignment. They sold me a couple of winter Pirellis, one of which turned out to have a sidewall puncture, which had previously been circled but then rubbed off. The tyres were immediately taken off the wheels and went bqck in my boot. Went to return them, they took my number and told me to go away, because they would call me as soon as they got a similar tyre. That phonecall obviously never came. When I went there again they accused me of using the tyres, they pointed out that someone had put a knife through the tyre and they're not liable. Apparently all their tyres were pressure tested and it was my fault for bringing them back 1 week later, basically denying that I'd taken them back the next day. I insisted that the tyres were not used after I'd bought them and they agreed to pressure test them, but when they noticed I was right they started to get really defensive. One of their staff lost his temper and started screaming at me at the top of his lungs. At that point everything seemed a bit ridiculous so I gave up - I left, tyreless, screamed at and out of pocket by £80.AVOID THIS MERCHANT!
