Trudy Smith Bridal & Prom Boutique

I visited Trudy’s shop on two occasions ,the first time I was greeted by another woman who was lovely ,but would need more training on clamping the dresses back as she never did it as good as Trudy did. The younger girl in the shop is an absolutely delightful girl ,very well mannered and very kind natured girl.I did like some of the dresses ,but I felt like most of the dresses were too mature for me ,and a little bit over priced. However, I did find a dress that I liked (unfortunately wasn’t the one for me in the end). When I wanted my mother in law to photograph me so I could look back at it ,Trudy was abit skeptical of letting us take photos and came across as a little rude to my Mother in law. On the other hand ,she was very informative and helpful over social media for any questions I have asked.The second time I went to the shop, I went with my mother to try the same dress back on. I lost some weight since my first visit so I felt like the dress no longer suited me. I wasn’t feeling any of the other dresses I tried on ,even though I didn’t like the dresses the girls still complimented me which was nice. However, shortly after gabbing amongst us all …Trudy then proceeded to give my mum a lesson about “racism” (this all stemmed from talking about the royal family and I have family who are part Jamaican) ,her tone did come across as a little rude at times and quite unprofessional on both visits (my mother and mother in law felt the same way). I feel Trudy is a little hot&cold ,but at times she was helpful ,patient and was there if I needed any questions answering.Both visits I went in the winter and Personally I wouldn’t recommend going to the shop first thing in the morning, the shop was absolutely freezing because of no radiators so I have to get down to my underwear in the cold , there was only a little heater in the changing room . I don’t like the fact that in the changing room there is another door that Trudy and other people can walk through whilst you’re getting changed ,made me feel abit uncomfortable.It has its pros and its cons ,this is not me being rude I was writing an honest and fair review. X

Went with my Daughter for a wedding dress absolutely a wonderful experience .Staff so attentive and helped my Daughter select her perfect wedding dress . And they do any alterations in house which is fabulous would highly recommend

Went with my little sister few months back Trudy was amazing so helpful picked the first dress she tried on after trying about 5 different dresses today we picked it up and it’s just amazing Trudy also got my wedding dress 10 years ago and that is why I always suggest her to everyone

Wow, my first experience at a Bridal Shop was amazing ! And this was all thanks to Trudy, she is such a beautiful, kind person who made my experience here amazing, her kindness just made me feel like I was trying on dresses with my mum, as opposed to someone I had just met! She listened to exactly what I wanted!One off the gowns Trudy picked out for me, was truly gorgeous! I didn’t want to take it off! I am so indecisive so I was very shocked when I said YES TO THE DRESS within minutes!!Thanks so much Trudy and team for making me feel so relaxed, helping me pick the most beautiful dress for my big day!!

Took my daughter today for her prom dress and couldn't of been happier, Trundy and Linda both helped make the experience for her special. Amazing bit of advice for them to take any pictures of her in a dress and forward only the ones she liked onto me....... same advice Trudy gave me when trying on wedding dresses last year.Would definitely recommended Trudy and her team, friendly, polite and a very relaxed experience.

Completely upsetting experience. Policy around taking photos was never explained to me and most of my photos deleted by dawn. Overlooked because I’m young. Completely useless staff. Even after complaint made over message, I was ignored… again. Make sure your firm about taking your own photos with this shop. Completely ruined my first dress shopping experience

You just can't get any better service then at Trudy Smith Bridal & prom Boutique.Me and my daughter travelled all the way from Swedan just to buy her prom dress from Trudy. She absolutely fantastic in every way and I will definitely be back for my daughter's wedding dress.

Tried a few other places before finding Trudy and her team. Received outstanding service and honest opinions helping my daughter find her perfect prom dress. All the ladies at Trudy Smith are so lovely. Thank you for making my daughter feel so special. X

Amazing full experience start to finish from Trudy Smith in Ormskirk. Dress needed alterations done fast and they accommodated. Dress is beautiful. My daughter is so please with the prom dress she ordered. Thankyou so much for looking after us. Faye xxx
