Crucible - Plastic Sculpture by Judith Bluck

Outside the Manpower Services Commission Building, Moorfoot.Crucible (1979) is a Large bronze coloured plastic fountain sculpture by artist Judith Black who has a referred to it as an exploding crucible. This piece is normally assumed to be bronze, although this is not the case. In winter water sometimes freezes on it in a spectacular icefall.When you realise that this sculpture is actually made of plastic not bronze you have a different perspective on it.
