Boots Pharmacy

Extremely convenient pharmacy, offering many essentials found at most Boots stores. It's small, but hugely useful to have in the area. The service is very good too.

Very helpful staff, particularly in the dispensing of medication, happy to explain and answer questions. Would highly recommend this pharmacy.

messed up an important prescription and was then incredibly rude on the phone as I politely tried to explain that I had ordered the thing I needed at the start of the month only for her to repeatedly talk over me, deny it, and come out with nonsense excuses like I obviously didn't have a repeat prescription and needed to speak with my GP" despite the fact that I KNEW they had received the prescription because I had spoken to my GP earlier in the day. completely unprofessional and incompotent"

My experience has always been friendly.Having been using the pharmacy due to personal and sensitive circumstances I feel like staff here are discreet and helpful.Remembering my name and going over and above recently when I had tonsillitis.Staff are so helpful even when the place is full and demanding its always the same friendly environment.Jennifer Hart

Often have problems with prescriptions as do many others. Longest wait for repeat medication now 8 days but average is 7 days which is unacceptable for repeat items. Sometimes need to wait for up to 20 mins in the shop when collecting.

Had some strange confusion regarding a prescription of mine and the staff worked really hard to get it sorted. They apologised profusely for the wait even though the problem wasn't their fault :p bless x

I have been debating whether to post this - actually my poor experience was around 6 months ago. I do feel there is learning to be had from this - I thought I should.My main complaint is around confidentiality and embarrassment caused. I was at boots collecting treatment for my adult acne. I was presented with a lot of questions from desk staff, despite having a prescription - whilst there were a lot of people waiting to collect. At one point the lady said to me - ‘you don’t look like you have acne’ and gestured for me to come closer for a look. This is clearly as I am on treatment for it which works. I really did not appreciate the way this was handled and truly believe staff member involved was oblivious to the embarrassment caused. I do not wish for every customer to know what i am waiting to collect, I do not wish to be questioned and inspected in front of waiting customer. I should have questioned this at the time - but like many felt I wasn’t in the position to do so. I think more emphasis should be put on confidentiality and quiet room utilised for questioning if needed. Overall poor experience and I will not be returning to pick up any future prescriptions.
