Parr Hall Car Park

Car park close to the markets. If you have to park here, i would recommend downloading the app (Phoneandpay) beforehand because that is the only way you can pay.Now the app is rated 1 star on the app stores so one can understand how easy it must be to use it. It takes a while to register here. You might get fined in that much time.Plenty of parking spaces.

This car park (Museum Street, managed by Initial Parking) has a militant automated number plate recognition system which tracks your entry and exit time. Parking charges do not apply from 6pm, with a 10min grace period to pay. Since I arrived at 5.55pm, I made the mistake of thinking that the grace period would apply and I would not have to pay an hour's parking for 5min before the charge period ends. A week later I received a parking charge notice for £100, with appeal on grounds of the grace period declined. Park literally anywhere else if you can - utterly disgusted by this experience.

This parking is a sham!They give you 10 minutes to pay. It took us 30 minutes to navigate their system of phone and pay. They hung up on us when trying to pay and in the end we were slapped with a fine! We tried 5 times before actually succeeding.Avoid at all costs!

Easy to find. Be careful when parking, you have 10 minutes to pay for parking (app/phone only) before a fine is generated.There's a car park immediately next to here, separated by a few blocks on the floor..that's operated by a completely different parking firm.If in doubt, there's an hour free on-street parking, or park in the car park opposite that accepts cash & card.
