Called at 10am to literally cancel an appointment, well after the rush of every man & his dog trying to get an appointment. Chose option 3 - Receptionists & was immediately 1 in the queue. Sat there for 45 minutes before calling off my work phone too. Chose option 1 for appointments & was number 7 in the queue. Waited 20 minutes which by this point the other call had reached over an hour AT NUMBER 1 IN THE QUEUE!!! Denise answered and I asked her to please explain how this has happened. She got defensive & annoyed & told me she didn’t know how the phone system worked & it wasn’t her fault therefore would not offer an apology & actually told me to call back later??? This surgery has ALWAYS had a terrible service, rude receptionists (which historically didn’t apply to Denise, sadly this seems to have changed) & having to wait over 20 mins to be seen for your appointment when you arrive early - as they request. Highly hypocritical that they aggressively tell you, you are no longer welcome at the surgery when you miss ONE appointment (happened to my friend when her son was poorly & she couldn’t find a sitter to attend), yet they can provide whatever level of service they feel is sufficient … which is no service at all in this instance. Very surprised this surgery has become worse & not improved at all! Ecstatic that I’m moving house & will never have to contact this surgery again. DO NOT RECOMMEND. ADVISE TO GO ELSEWHERE! Fantastic reception team. Phone answered in 1 minute. Link sent for photo. Doctor rang back in 10 mins and appointment 30 mins later. I was seen immediately. From reception to Doctor great experience

I am a new patient. Speedy and easy registration process. I phoned at 8am to request an appointment and got through after 2 minutes. Briefly explained problem to triage team and had a phone call back within 60 mins to come in to see the GP same morning. Good consultation with Dr Bunger, who was a very understanding and reassuring clinician. I had a phone call from Dr Lawson 2 days later with test results and medication dispatched to pharmacy. Excellent service. Well done.

If I could give no stars then I would. You can never seem to get an appointment for the doctor when you need one but have to wait weeks and really the same goes for the nurse. Never any appointments on the system think they need to go back to pen and paper or get a better computer system.

Awful service! Receptionist are rude and quick to get off the phone. Appointments are never on time, always have to wait a good 20 mins before being seen and doctors don’t come up with solutions to your medical issues if test results come back ok. Shocking!

New patient there and great doctors and great reception team. Far, far better than my previous place. Very happy!

Always feels like a bit of a struggle with this practice. You feel rushed with the doctors, feel badgered with the receptionists, and in all feel a bit second rate. Its a deprived area you see, with lots of over weight, crisp eating, pop drinking, Morrisons shopping call me a cab whilst im on benefits brigade type people.

Gettting an appointment can be difficult, presumably due to volumn of patients and number of doctors on duty. However, Dr McGuigan has an excellent manner towards his patients and gives great confidence that you have been given the best advise. Viv seems to have a huge workload, but also gives great advise and care to the patients who see her. My husband and I have long been patients seeing Viv for results of various tests and have found her caring and efficient. May I also comment that I think people who do not turn up for appointments should be penalised as appointments are at such a premium.
