It's a lovely building with vaulted roof and skylights. Long open spaces where multiple exhibition happens. British ceramic biennial happened there including it's award ceremony. The place has layers of memories of the past.

Excellent time at the Spode China Halls. Looking at a fantastic showcase of ceramic innovation and design, as well having a go at getting my hands covered in clay through the process

I'm not generally a fan of 'weird' (sorry, only descriptive word I could come up with) modern pottery apparently interpreting a slant on life. If you are then you'll love it. See photos. There were some absolutely beautiful pieces though at the far end of the hall; bowls and lamps etc which were very modern and unusual which I found pleasing and very skillful. I loved the Spode museum itself; very interesting and full of beautiful pieces made with great skill. We will visit there again.

Really worth a visit, there are some absolutely amazing pieces of art, Spode has put on a brilliant exhibition. You can also purchase some of the works. Staffordshire is still producing excellent ceramics and deserves more publicity and promotion, there are modern pieces that include the originality of ceramics. Spode in itself is just a fantastic place for a wander round. The staff are always on hand with the history of the factory and the shop sells old and new ceramics. I especially loved how they feature local artists like Lyngard art wares, who has mastered the lustre on his ceramics, also for sale.

A very interesting venue. Incredible views inside and outside. The smoking area provided during our event didn't have a roof which didn't help with rain however wasn't too large of an issue. Would of benefitted from some portable heaters of some sort however, you are standing in a old factory at the start of November, so what do you expect. Brilliant event.

A quirky collection of ceramics, from around the world, displayed in the post-industrial Doulton Pot Bank. Some pieces for sale during the show. Auction of exhibition pieces at the end. Stunning

We went old Spode works to watch a production of Oliver and it was fantastic, the performers were brilliant some out of this world - there singing voices best ever and I've been to a few theatre productions over the years.
