It is a beautiful place to visit to honour the Battle of Britain heroes. Visit the experience room for a small charge and learn much more about these brave men who flew and everyone else involved in what was an iconic moment in the war. Set in beautiful grounds overlooking the cliffs. Visit the cafe and sit on the terrace. Enjoy the views and reflect. We were lucky that a spitfire flew over while we were visiting making the day even more special.

Battle of Britain Memorial
A relatively small but superbly presented reminder of the sacrifice our fighter airmen made during the war. Manned by volunteers, this memorial tastefully and soberly presents that sacrifice. It looks out over the English channel, and on a sunny day, it is stunning. If you are in the area this is a must visit, as a visual and spiritual experience and a thank you to the airmen and the volunteers.

Small footprint containing a lot of information about WW2 air & ground crew. Worth a visit. Car park is not free. Entrance to the monument, cafe & shop is free. Great views across to France on a clear day & often accompanied with the unmistakable sound of a Spitfire overhead..... some people can afford a 'bucket list' flight!!

Arrived here via the North downs way path. It was late in the day so the main building was closed. The grounds and monuments are pristine with excellent information boards. Really good to see a Spitfire and Hurricane together. I spent about 20-30 minutes looking around and reading the boardsExcellent view out to sea as you rejoin the path. A very fitting tribute.I saw a car park at the front of the building which seemed easily accessible.

My nephew is obsessed with historical military and loved visiting here. I did find it a little hard to keep his attention engaged but he's only 10 and wanted to look at things rather than read.He loved exploring the replica planes and visiting the memorial.Car parking is pay by cash so make sure you have change it was £1 for up to 3 hours.I had a coffee from the cafe and the food looked great when I saw it being taken out. There's an outside seating area along with an indoor seating area that's wheelchair friendly and accessible via a lift.A family friendly day out with a lot to take in.

Fitting tribute to the pilots and associated air and ground crew who lost their lives in the battle of Britain. Entrance is free, but you need to pay to park unless you have a disabled badge. Only £1 per hour though. Site is beautiful, on the clifftop. There are replica planes, a crashed stukka" statues and a tribute wall with the names of those who died. You can pay to see an additional exhibit (we didnt) and a lovely cafe with unexpectedly low prices. Nice gift shop too. Do visit and please do make a donation so more can be added."

This place is amazing. A very serene memorial outside. An incredible tech production inside. First came the pilot memorial outside that the Queen Mum dedicated. Then Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip dedicated the opening of the great building. Lovely cafe upstairs with a balcony overlooking the grounds, too. Do not miss this place!

We timed our visit to coincide with Battle of Britain day and were able to join the short service of Remembrance. Such a privilege and made more special by the spitfire overhead just as the act of Remembrance started.A beautiful and fitting tribute to those who served. The cafe was busy but we expected that. Those serving behind the counter were helpful and the cakes delicious. The scramble experience was worth the small payment. Lots to learn and the films moving.Outside provided a lovely space to walk around with well kept grounds and lots to see.We especially loved the doors in the toilets...so different!
