Genuinely wish I could give a 0 star review.I find myself in the odd situation having to give a negative review based not on the performance of the store nor its till staff but on the incompressible rudeness by non other than the manager that brought my wife to tears.All due to a till error that was acknowledged by other members of staff as happening to other customers.Rather than deal with a simple refund the manager spoke to my wife like some kind of animal... refused to provide her name so that we could pursue a formal complaint and just walked off.The refund was promptly handled by other members of the floor team who were all very kind.I subsequently phoned for the managers number, who once again refused to provide it and just hung up. This is not how any professional should act.Thursday 17th August 2 hours before store closing.

Smart and casual clothing. Would love if they had bigger and better dressing rooms.Rest its perfect. Shoes are average quality though.

Love Matalan home and uniform. Bought great smelling candles and kitchen and home accessories. Also school tights which are really good value 2 pack great price and wash really well! Perfect for under summer dress not too thick and thin

The company needs to think twice before hiring people. One of them gave me a rude look and proceeded to act innocent when I asked what her problem was. I was not being a rude customer, just minding my business. I told her to not look at me like that again after that. Stupid employee. I can see Slough is even more disappointing with people like her.

Been in twice in the past week, first time I gave up trying to find a pair of jeans of the right cut and size, it's like a badly organised jumble sale. When I enquired if they had what I was looking for in stock I got very curt 'no' as she turned on her heel and walked away. Second time went in to collect an online order, staff were far too busy chatting to each other to be bothered to serve me. On neither time was the store busy. My advice is travel to Bracknell, to a clean and organised store where the staff smile and are willing to help.

It's always busy here - there never seem to be enough staff working! They have self service checkouts but if you need to take anything back there is always a long queue. There is a changing room which isn't signposted very well and last time I visited there was nobody attending it and half of the empty changing rooms were locked! The open ones had clothes everywhere which had just been left after being tried on. It seems they have a lot of staffing issues. You will definitely find some bargains here but don't visit if you're in a hurry! They have a big sale on right now though!

Men's Section DisarrayThe store has recently undergone significant renovations, which were much needed and have improved the overall layout. However, there is a major issue with the men's section, particularly the area at the back featuring dress shirts and trousers. It's in complete disarray, and it's baffling. During my visit today, I witnessed other customers opening new shirt packs and tossing them to the ground. Additionally, there are mismatched items scattered around. This section is near the staff exit and entrance, and it seems they don't care about its appearance. I would suggest that the store management consider assigning a dedicated staff member to this area or take action against customers who behave inappropriately. #WellWellWell

By far the worst Matalan ever. The customer service is appalling. I love shopping in Matalan, however going to the Slough store makes me so frustrated. This has happened the last few times I have been there. Awful awful customer service.
