From the day of purchase, three years ago, Sports and Classic have looked after my Porsche 911 (997). Over this time the service provided by Mike and his team has been excellent - they always have time to discuss the work to be carried out on the car, which is fascinating to a Porsche enthusiast. Their expertise and attention to detail provides the reassurance to be able to enjoy the car to the maximum.

Following a botched repair elsewhere Mike diagnosed the issues with my Boxster and sorted all the faults out. All work was done to a very high standard and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them . Thank you

I have been looking for an independent Porsche specialist that I would trust with my car for over 15 years……I have now found someone and would highly recommend them to others.It is not only their knowledge and experience with 996/997 - 986/987s but there ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to help.Twice in the last couple of months I have called in on spec, admittedly with relatively minor issues, but on each occasion they dropped everything and resolved both issues the same day.It is worth pointing out that the mechanics working there are as helpful as Michael the owner.On the last occasion Michael was out but the guys sorted me without any complaint - after leaving I messaged to tell him how helpful his staff were - he asked me to write a review …..and this is it.

Purchased a 987 Boxster S from Sports and Classic, (whole deal was done remotely due to covid) Mike was an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the process and went out of his way on numerous occasions to provide a top knotch service and handled everything perfectly. Very refreshing to be able to do business with such an honest and genuine person. Very pleased with the car and would highly recommend Sports and Classic to anyone.

Just wanted to thank Mike, Dave, Jonathan & Hazel at Sports & Classic Ltd, for their hard work, attention to detail and very friendly customer service! I'll admit to being a notoriously picky customer, so if I entrust my Porsche to someone, I have high expectations. Having decided to replace my 991.1's restrictive manifolds with Cargraphic long tube ones, plus Ti studs and new tips, the team went above & beyond to cleanly remove the old and install the new, with skill & professionalism. Not that they need my endorsement (as they're inundated with work) but I'm happy to recommend them and will be back in future, Mark Davis (AKA: 911Time)

I felt I had to thank Dave at Sports and Classic. Although not Porsche related, I found myself with a flat tyre in freezing rain at 5pm with a 2 hour wait for the rescue services. Dave kindly came to my aid, replaced the tyre and got me back on the road within 20 mins. Calm, clearly knowledgeable (my Vehicle had to be in 'jacking mode' in relation to the air suspension, which I wasn't aware) and efficient. I can imagine that same eye for detail and attitude would be applied to any Porsche taken to them. Thank You!

As a very fussy customer and former BMW technician I do find it difficult entrusting others to work on my cars but I did my homework, read reviews and listened to advise from others and chose Sports and Classic to entrust my Porsche with.My new to me 997 Turbo had developed a coolant leak and needed a few other jobs looking at. However on closer inspection the car had more issues than first thought but Mike and his team went above and beyond to sort things out. I was provided with an updated estimate at each point and Mike even spent extra time sorting things out at no extra cost!The car is now a completely different beast!If you want attention to detail and the job done right you will not go far wrong with these guys.You can't put a price on looking after a Porsche properly and Mike and his team know exactly what they are doing in this department.Thanks Mike and team.

Had some some work done on a 987 Boxster including new roof ball joints. A month later the rear ECU under the seat failed as it was sitting in about inch of pooled water at the back. The garage fitting/recoding the module pulled half of the old ball joint out of the drain tube.... Called Sports and Classic and left a polite message about the problem with a suggestion maybe I get a bit off the next service or something- never heard back. Rest of the work was fine but it cost me a lot to put right..The car had sat for 6 months outside in a peak district winter- most of the time with a foot of snow on the roof. Its not impossible it had damp carpets if you remember from the few hours you had it- but I hoovered it more than I drove it and I never noticed it. It came in for roof ball joints early summer- and within a month of the work done the rear ECU failed with an inch of water pooled OVER the rear carpet. I still remember the fitting garages mechanics satisfied grin as he pulled out the offending old ball joint from the drain tube- one which I believe can only have been dropped in there by your garage when changing the ball joints. I would welcome your expert feedback on any alternate scenarios about where this might have come from. I kept the car for another few peak district winters and never had any further issue with any noticeable water leaks.Why the review now? It always grated that I must have paid out £400 and never even got a returned call. From your response I can see I may have been left unsatisfied and am thankful the issue wasn't over a bigger piece of work. You are correct in that I never brought the car back . I trust the above helps clarify why.

Mike and the team do an awesome job. Half the price of a Porsche dealer and a better, more personal service. Always happy to give good, honest advice. They get busy so book early.
