I'm quite surprised with the positive reviews after my experience with Setfords. I have rang numerous times in the last few weeks to get an important lease change, and have been passed around with no resolution.I initially went with Aga from Setfords, based on reputation for thoroughness and a commitment to ensuring a seamless and stress-free property buying experience as a first time buyer alone. This has not been the case.My solicitor Aga Scott reassured me that I would not be responsible for any service charges associated with the property. Lack of due diligence meant Aga did not review my lease properly, meaning I now have to pay £450 a year for a building I don't enter. She also failed to notice I had two car parking spaces in my lease, which I had to point out to her.Regrettably, this recent service charge issue has left me quite distressed, as it appears that the necessary diligence was not exercised, leading to an unexpected financial burden on my part. I have been awaiting a response on this since October. I paid over £2500 to Setfords, as I trusted they would do a thorough job. I rang 3 weeks ago and someone finally rang back 2 weeks ago and promised to help me. Though yet again, I've heard nothing from Aga. It's a shambles.
