Anglesey Bees

I did the beginners course and the teaching quality was excellent; being well paced and delivered with the confidence of knowledge that only someone who loves the subject can bring. The area is outstanding too. If you want to start beekeeping, come here first.

Dawn gave us a brilliant morning, teaching us all about the bees and very patiently answering all of our questions! We even got to see a bee being born and we really enjoyed the honey tasting at the end. Would highly recommend to anyone who is even remotely interested in bees or beekeeping.

Had a run out to Anglesey Bees this morning. Rang ahead as advised and when close rang again for directions as it’s a bit of a magical mystery tour until you know how to find it. ust attended a 2 day weekendbee keeping course and wow what an excellent 2 days well spent. I now have the confidence to start by own bee keeping journey. Really informative and hands on it covered everything needed to start my own hives with the knowledge that there is help at hand if I get stuck or need help. Anyone thinking of starting beekeeping could not do better than booking a course with Anglesey Bees.

What a fabulous experience. Very warm and friendly welcome and not only did we learn so much, we also saw bees up close in the hive. Would thoroughly recommend the experience and we will now be very careful where we buy our honey!

I've now had the pleasure of attending a full beginners course last year and a Spring Refresher course just before my bees arrived two weeks ago. Dafydd is an exceptionally talented communicator, with a deep knowledge of bees and beekeeping, and a readiness to answer my most obscure questions! Dawn (and Fudge) were outstanding hosts too! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anglesey Bees.

Such a welcoming couple. Gorgeous location. And outstanding training! All areas covered with training. I felt so at ease and comfortable dealing with the bees, Dafydd made it a breeze! I feel more than ready to get my own colony, knowing i have the back up of Dafydd, and the knowledge passed on. Thank you so much! I seriously would HIGHLY recommend a training day here!!

An amazing experience and learnt a massive amount. I had an introductory weekend to Bee Keeping with Dafydd and Dawn. They were incredibly knowledgeable and shared a huge amount of guidance on how to keep Bees and I now feel massively more confident. Such an amazing time.Thank you

A absolutely fantastic experience! We booked through Airbnb which was a very easy process and we had great contact straight from booking. The experience it's self was amazing and me and my partner both learnt a huge amount. We both now feel very knowledgeable about bee keeping and I'm even thinking about getting some hives at work. Dafydd and Dawn are both incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. They make you feel very welcome and at home at their gorgeous property.We both highly recommend taking a course at Anglesey Bees. I thoroughly enjoyed So You Want to Be a Beekeeper" beginner's course. The two-day class provided a perfect balance of classroom learning and hands-on hive inspections.Dafydd's infectious enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge made for an engaging learning experience.
