Very nice meal, good quality and value. Staff were excellent. There are only 4 stars for the atmosphere because the piano wasn't played.

The food was excellent. So lucky to find this and have this, and the value is exceptional.I had cheese tomato start thing, very refreshing. For main, pork belly, absolutely delicious.Desert selection was excellent.£30 for the three course meal I couldn't believe it, and to top it all off, you receive free entry into the port meirion.

The reception on a winter with the blazing hot open wood fire is wonderful. The meal was very good with a great selection of food from the menu. All cooked and served well. This is a fine dining experience.Service was good, fast and friendly. There were vegetarian options on the menu.Access to the restaurant from outside is all level with no steps.

Beautiful tasting food. Had the foccia with olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Then the fish and chips crushed minted peas and curry. Wow the best fish and chip supper I've ever had! All lovely presented. Atmosphere and staff very friendly and attentive.

We were on our Honeymoon and wanted to visit Portmerion, so made use of the free voucher for eating lunch here - but this restaurant was the highlight of the visit! The staff were very professional, the food was incredible and the atmosphere/aesthetic was tranquil. We had an amazing meal and I could not more highly recommend eating here if you are planning on visiting Portmerion!

Definitely the best lunch we had while visiting Wales! The starters (duck and salmon) were exquisite, with the duck being absolutely perfect! The mains were equally as delicious, and the pork belly was cooked absolutely perfectly. The service was very good and the staff are very attentive and helpful. A special thank you to the kind elderly server who allowed me to swap my mains after ordering!I recommend a lunch or dinner as Castell Deudraeth, as it is truly a lovely experience.

Ambience: very good.Service: Average. They charge discretionary service charge . I felt like they didn't look after us that well. No one came to the table to check on us once the food was served. We were with kids and they took ages to clear the plates after we finished eating. Kids were dropping the cutlery and faffing around. There were only two tables being served at the time.Food: now the main bit why would be at this restaurant. Taste was average nothing special. Portions were extremely small.. couple of the main dish sizes were similar to a 10 course starter menu , but its only a 3 course menu. If you r just ordering the main,it's hardly going to be enough. One of us ordered a monktail - really small portion of fish, but the fact that there was a thick piece of bone in the tail made it even smaller. I had sea bream with Pak choy. The greens were averagely cooked - very chewy. The Kiev was alright.Desert: this is the saving grace, all good portions and it was good.Drinks: if you ever want to order pepsi - please don't - cost 6 pounds a glass. That's the second most ridiculous price I had to pay for a drink. The fresh fruit juice from the menu costs less than a pint of pepsi. This was the most disappointing bit. (The first most ridiculous thing was, when I had to pay for a glass of hot water in another restaurant)My review comes down to the positioning of this restaurant and the bang for buck one gets. the menu , ambience and more importantly the price gives the impression that it's a luxury restaurant but what came out of it left us with a not so satisfied feeling. For the price they charged this place needs improving.

Duck starter was delicious highly recommended. Likewise the fish and chips was excellent and generous portion size. Staff were impeccable. 3 courses for £30 is great value for money.
