The food here is always fantastic. It’s fresh and tastes amazing.I really like the salmon Poke bowls and normally have a small sushi on the side to try, never been disappointed.

Shockingly awful - didn't taste remotely like any Japanese food we'd ever eaten in or outside of Japan. We had a teriyaki chicken bowl, salmon katsu curry and salmon maki to go. Sushi rice was completely unseasoned and musty tasting, rice in the rice bowls on the other hand were seasoned in a most peculiar way, katsu curry gravy tasted nothing like katsu curry, and our soy sauce sachets for the sushi had been forgotten. Better off with supermarket sushi.

We love katsu curry and usually struggle to find a decent takeaway in Dumfries so when we saw a sign for this place at Dock Park we agreed to give it a go. We both got chicken katsu curry and it was really good, large portions of both chicken and rice and a curry sauce that evidently was made in house. The lady who served us was also incredibly friendly and chatty which we also found reflected well on the business. When it comes to takeaways in the area, this one quite easily comes near the top of all the ones we have tried. Recommended.

Got the chicken katsu curry...Ordered 2 could have fed the army!! A great amount of food, rice was perfectly fluffy and white... Topped with the chicken katsu curry was outstanding.. not my normal bacon roll and coffee order!!! Would highly recommend this dish, and quickly delivered piping hot, great little place... Maybe I'll try the sushi next time!

The sushi here is great, absolutely spot on. Been waiting an awful long time for Dumfries to expand it's cuisine horizons. My only gripe with it is the lack of vegetarian/plant based options. The avocado & cucumber rolls are a lovely bit of paradise, however more options would be fantastic.
