I dined at Goffs Park Brewers Fayre with friends Saturday lunch time.I ordered the Thai Green curry. When the dish arrived it did not resemble the photograph on the menu. The only vegetable was the sweet potato mixed in a Thai green curry paste. There was no tenderstem broccoli, peas or bamboo shoots!! Very disappointing. Whilst the food was tasty the rice was not very warm. The plates were not cleared away from our tables when we had finished our main courses.Unfortunately the restaurant was very cold and none of us wanted to stay long after we had eaten.Such a shame as a lovely place to meet up with friends.

Really sorry to say we have just had an awful experience of a very long wait 11/2 hours, cold dinner and poor customer service whereby it wasn’t until just before we were served that a kind waitress apologised for the long wait.If someone had told us when we arrived, that the wait was over an hour, we would have made other arrangements as we had our elderly mother with us.It was so disappointing as she uses the restaurant a lot and had been excited to go for her birthday.

We were staying at the attached Premiere Inn for work and we purchased 2 “meal deals” because we thought it would be time saving. Ugh. Wish we hadn’t.We made a reservation for 7pm and arrived on time only to be told it was a 45-60 minute wait for food. The bartender talked us into waiting in the bar to have drinks for 30 minutes to get past the “rush”.Once we do that, it took 5 minutes at the hostess stand to get seated where we were promptly ignored for almost 15 minutes. Finally we had to get her attention to have our order taken and were told our food would be “right out”. 45 minutes later, we asked after our food and only then was it brought out.The food was nasty. The oil tasted old. The chips were cold. It was all a bit dire. All the while we were sitting in a mostly empty dining room which was absolutely littered with the filthy remnants of previous diners. No one checked after our food to see if we were happy so we tried to eat what we could because at this point it had been over an hour and a half since we arrived. Our meal deal came with a desert (which we ordered at the same time as our mains). We had to once again chase the waitress to ask for it and were told it would be right up. 15 minutes later we gave up and just left.We went to the front desk at Premiere Inn since they sold us the voucher. We were in a queue behind another couple who were also making a complaint about their meal.It was so slow it ate up our whole evening and was worse than one of those nasty microwave burgers.Honestly… like why even be open if you have so little pride in what you deliver to people?

Surprisingly very quiet on a Friday night here, we ordered food at the bar and it turned up within 20 minutes. I had the mixed grill which was very nice, my mum had gammon and chips and was very happy with it too. The only thing I can moan about was my drink, the lemonade in it tasted flat. We would visit again..

What a dive!!! On entry was told no normal menu only carvery which is not helpful in a big group. The place is FILTHY and run down with a depressing atmosphere. The staff are beyond lazy with only a couple of young members actually working. The rest just try to look busy not actually achieving anything. Our plates weren't cleared away and we had to chase pudding after 40mins. Food was poor standard. Terrible meal out and wasted money!

Had a Sunday Carvery here, roast potatoes were like ice hockey pucks! Peas served in water not even drained, shows how much passion the chef or chefs have. Carrots not peeled, just thrown on a hotplate with no seasoning. turkey so dry, it could have been cardboard.Table were covered in rubbish, with barely anyone in the restaurant, god knows why no one tidied it up. cutlery was filthy. Shame really used to go there as a kid and it was lovely. Needs some people cooking that have a passion for it.

Breakfast for the Premier Inn. Tasty but standard fare though the orange juice" was just watery squash."

Went today 11/11/2023 for my birthday meal, everyone serving was so nice, they didn’t have my dessert I wanted but gave me another option which I chose something different and it was still nice, very kid friendly, waited a while for the desserts but they were reallyBusy tonight which isn’t their fault, thank you I would definitely recommend and also asked if we had any allergies before letting us order and asked at the door as well which is good incase anyone does have allergies. Thanks so much booked again for December toCome back and have dinner.’

Arrived at Premier Inn to be told we could not be served any food at 8.45pm on a Saturday evening as the kitchen had closed! Came for breakfast in the morning to a very sticky table, yoghurt which was out of date and had growth in it! Ran out of cups, coffee, milk and long queues. Filthy tables. Went outside to get some fresh air in the beer garden to find ourselves sitting in a rubbish tip. I wouldn't like to guess when it was last cleared of rubbish. Absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I recently visited Goffs Park Brewers Fayre for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience. The main door was shut without any notice or explanation, which was quite puzzling. When I inquired about it, I was told by Premium Inn staff that it's only open for guests staying at the inn. This lack of communication was frustrating, especially after traveling 30 minutes to get there for breakfast. It would have been helpful to know this policy in advance, as it would have saved us the time and effort. Overall, not a pleasant start to the day.
