Southside Free Baptist Church

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pastor Ben and Free Baptist. My son was planning to go Scotland for school and we were in search of a solid Bible teaching church. We stumbled across their website on the internet and my son was able to attend the entire time he was in Scotland. Pastor Ben and his family were an amazing influence in my son’s life. They treated him like family. I was also able to attend services when my son first went to Edinburg and found that the music and messages were both wonderful. My son grew spiritually while under Pastor Ben’s preaching. The Shore’s have a heart for the ministry and for people. Please go visit this church if you have the opportunity.

This is no kind of Baptist church, it’s verging on Mormon/Scientology. Steer clear at all costs

Continues to post absolute hate speech through my door. Shame on you. And for every bible quote you posted, I can find one to contradict it. Absolute American Republican hate filled drivel.

My nephew went to Scotland for a year to work on his masters degree. The people at Free Baptist church took him in immediately as one of its own. I am thankful that they took such good care of him!

The address is not correct because this church due to multiple complaints has first been removed by the Midlothian Innovation Centre, then by the Rosslyn Bowling Club when they found out about the famous open letter which has been recorded as a hate incident by Police Scotland. The letter and the pastor’s inappropriate behaviour on people’s doorsteps is not socially acceptable and has caused a great deal of distress to local residents. What Pastor Benjamin Shore preaches if it were not selected bible quotes would be classed as a hate crime in Scotland. Such archaic intolerant beliefs that contradict various other bible teachings will never grip Scotland judging by the outpouring of outrage from Midlothian in response to this particular church which has been asked by the police to desist from thinly veiled hate speech and yet it continues. The letter even encourages people to defy the law. The only traction the letter will get in Midlothian apart from a breeze as it goes in to the bin is to spur on a creation of a Roslin Pride Day and every Sunday will be Drag Day.

In this church, you can feel the hand of God moving through the faithful congregation. The pastor and his family are so wonderful and friendly, always welcoming strangers as friends. There is an amazing children’s ministry with Bible teaching for all ages. The church offers 4 services throughout the week including Sunday School, Sunday morning services, Sunday evening services, and Wednesday evening services. There is always something going on to get involved in, including children’s choir, soul winning, and holiday Bible clubs. This church preaches the Bible and how Jesus Christ came to this earth to die for us, so that when we die we can live with Him in Heaven. This is a place to call home!
