Helpful and attentive waiters. Showed me all the dishes they could make vegan and which dishes were already vegan. Great service and food was excellent! Good pricing. We had already been there 8 years ago and it has always been a high quality restaurant.

Great Indian restaurant. Friendly staff. Great menu with tasty twists on the usual dishes you'd expect to find on the menu which you need to try! Great service despite being very busy. Highly recommend. Clean and well laid out tables can cater for large parties. Clean toilets at back end of restaurant. Great location with car park right outside! Close to pubs and clubs for afterwards too!

My very dear friend and I dined @ your curry house of late, reason for 4 stars was because we had to wait a little longer but more probably the fact it was a busy evening. The curry I had was perfect, perhaps could of been hotter, however my friend found eating his Chicken Tikka Massala to sweet.

Pros: excellent quality food you'd genuinely struggle to find a better quality curry in Shrewsbury.Cons: quality comes at a cost and is at least 10-20% more expensive than the competition. Whether you think paying that much more is worth it..I'm honestly not sure.Staff could have been more friendly and attentive. Especially as they have the guts to charge a 10% service charge. I don't feel this is warranted with he price of the food. 'other places do it' is a poor excuse. My biggest gripe about my experience is how they have decided to plaster the menu with piles of pictures of 'celebrity' visitors or people the chef has met at an awards ceremony. I don't really care if Priti Patel visited...I'd kind of understand if you stated what they had or provided quotes and recommendations instead it's just a mess and distracting. I'm also not sure about naming a dish 'Mother Theresa lamb' I don't think she became martyrd to be a dish at an Indian restaurant...

Ordered a takeaway this evening, unfortunately there was a piece of sharp plastic in the meal, it could have easily cut someone’s gum. The restaurant denied all responsibility and would not refund the portion of the order that was affected. Terrible customer service, avoid!!!

The best Indian food in Shrewsbury. Fresh quality ingredients. I had vegetable balti and it was delicious. So many places can not do I good vegetable curry, but Cafe Saffron have got to it right. My partner and I have eaten from here often, and we’ve never had a bad curry. Excellent service. We were that happy we even phoned the restaurant straight after eating our takeaway just because I wanted to thank them for the lovely food. I hope it made you smile :)

Well, we've eaten some Indian meals over the years, but cafe saffron was in a different league, the quantity & quality of the chicken was exceptional as we're the flavours & service. I had chicken madras, my partner had chicken naga, definitely the best we've ever had. Meal was so good we tried to return following night but unfortunately they were closed on Monday. We will definitely go back when we next visit Shrewsbury .Sorry, just to clarify, the bill was £60 for 2 people including drinks & sides.

Slightly strange layout, the resturant is on the top floor, the decor is a little sparse. I have to say the starter I had(chicken chaat on puri) was absolutely fantastic, packed with flavour, it really had my taste buds dancing. After that I could not wait for my main. However I was left slightly disappointed by the lamb balti, the meat was quite fatty and the sauce was unfortunately a little bland which is sad after such an amazing starter.

The food was ok but notexceptional given the self hypeabout 'award winning dishes.' Thesting came with the non clarity ofthe bill. We paid £122 for threepeople. Three starters, threemains one dessert. Two nonalcoholic beers and one bottle ofvery poor Sauvignon. Servicecharge. We asked to keep the billbut informed they needed to keep itfor their accountant'! As newlocals to the area we are verydisappointed. The multipleimages of various dignitaries onthe menu should have been aclue! Unfortunately we will notrecommend or re vist.

My indian friends recommended this place and they were right! Maybe the best Indian restaurant in Shrewsbury. Food and service are top class. Portions are good size and be wary of vindaloo!
