The Deckhouse

This is just a truly beautiful place to stay set in a peaceful and serene location. We stayed here on the 14th of September for the weekend with our family of 5. There was plenty of room for all of us. My husband and I stayed in the smaller cabin. It was toasty and warm, just perfect. The owner had made sure there was everything we could possibly need, and we were well provided for. All instructions were given, and we were updated well in advance.We loved just how quiet it was. The first morning, we woke up. We had the most beautiful chorus of birds singing away. A Cockerell, and sheep and an owl. It couldn't have been more magical. We miss staying here already. And not to forget to mention the sky at night. Wow. No night pollution, perfect for star gazing. We could clearly see the Milky Way.The only slight negative was that the smaller cabin doesn't have a toilet. This wasn't too much of an issue, but getting up during the night for a toilet in the dark was a bit of fun. But! We managed, take a torch. Everything else was just perfect.There is a really great pub that serves delicious food not far from the cabin, which also caters to vegetarians, etc, about 3 minutes away. We highly recommend eating there too. They were really friendly and very welcoming. Also, we loved Mikey.The town is not far away and we loved that also, small and quaint.We highly recommend staying here. You'll truly love it.There's plenty of amazing walks to do.
