We visited this pub on a trip to Norfolk. Whilst the outside of the pub looks lovely and the staff friendly, I would not recommend. The food was basic, we both had sandwiches and some soggy salad (the type you find at the end of the salad bag, wet and shrivelled - poor effort from the chef). The staff were nice but one of the managers was wondering around handing out dog treats rather than helping on the bar or clearing the mountain of dirty tables. It was so disappointing and I would recommend eating literally anywhere else.

Dog friendly.... but when you ask for some scrambled eggs for your dog, the response from the bar lady was are you joking?"Chef was happy to provide and our pup was more than satisfied with her meal

Nice pub with a few real ales. Car park £10.00 but refunded in pub - good sized car park with plenty of spaces.Beer was kept well.Lots of tables inside and out- we sat inside in a sort of family area.Good selection of meals for adults and children from.Food was nice, staff very friendly and helpful.Nice pub that had clearly grown from a village pub to one that caters for the holiday crowds as well as locals. It’s still kept its charm.Worth a visit for good honest food at a fair price.

I visited the Mariner Inn whilst away for a long weekend. Lovely quaint setting and a lovely pub that is very much quintessentially British. There was a really good range of real ales and IPA's. We sat out for our first drink before we got rather chilly, and the views over to the beach were lovely. We didn't eat there but there were many in there that were eating, and the food looked nice. The only downside was 2 of the 3 staff that served me were not very inviting. Their demure was standoffish and unwilling to engage with any lightheaded chat. The other lady was jolly and engaging.I will visit again but I'll be aware that some of the staff are a little prickly.

An absolutely fantastic place right next to the beach. I ordered the chilli con carne, and my friend ordered the chicken salad with prawn crackers (both pictured). The food came quickly, and it was delicious. The only thing to note is that the prices can fetch between £10 and £20 per meal, and you have to get your own cutlery, but other than that, it is absolutely amazing, and a place that you cannot miss!

We came here for some lunch as it was one of the higher rated pubs in the area and seemed like a nice place but it was quite a rubbish experience in the end. The service was awful - a girl on the bar was one of the rudest and worst customer experiences ive ever had. She was genuinely not bothered and clearly had no interest in serving customers. We ordered a couple of pints and some water to which she rolled her eyes and huffed, she didn't give a reply and in the end she couldn't be bothered to get us water so just didn't, even though we asked her twice, she just ignored us so we gave up. It wasn't busy so it was just super awkward, bar staff seemed more interested in talking to each other (some of the other staff in the restaurant area were nicer and friendlier so could've just been the one bad apple)The toilets were terrible, messy and none of the taps worked. The food is overpriced £14-16 for very standard pub food. There's plenty of seating in the place - indoor and out, but seemed pretty quiet not much atmosphere but the outdoor seating does have views of the sea. Few ales on tap which were alright but overall the pub isn't anything special. We left and went to a cafe a short walk away on the beach which was far far nicer. In short, I wouldn't recommend this pub at all.

Kind of meh. Steak, chips, peas and mushrooms 1980s style. Unexciting.Others had Sunday lunch which they said was fine.Freezing cold in the dining room, great views though.Staff were lovely and helpful.

Young girl Jamie who served us was very knowledgable and she knew her job very polite and what ever we wanted it was no hassle for her the food was good and enjoyed it new potatoes in my opinion where a bit bland needed seasoning the steak in my opinion should of been trimmed off the fat/gristle before being sent out also 2 ceiling lights not working but apart from those few things the waitress was very good and helpful would recommend coming here again for food
