Edinburgh Sports Club

Great racquets club with bar, restaurant and other facilities too. There are 6 squash courts, a hardball court, a table tennis room, a snooker room, tennis courts and padel courts. There's a thriving squash scene with mini leagues and plenty of tournaments throughout the year, including the BSPA men's event and the PSA women's event. There's also a really good social scene.

Great place! Plenty of parking. We played squash and padel. Staff weren’t that friendly and we couldn’t even find anyone to serve us at the cafe area. But was fun! £10 guest fee is expensive in my opinion.

Great club with wonderful facilities . Unfortunately it is really expensive for people just wanting to play a specific sport. As they bought Padel courts a couple of years ago the rest of the membership has to pay for that. At £60 a month without any sauna/swimming pool, I doubt you would get your moneysworth. The manager is pretty rude which also takes away from what should be a fantastic club.

I was competing at the Edinburgh open this year and spent a couple of days at the club. Very nice layout for squash with plenty of room in the viewing platform and a very awesome spectator's stage on court 5 with seriously cool viewing options (shame the heaters partially obstruct veiwing at the highest tier but that's a minor detail, perhaps they'll install underfloor heating?!) nice spacious lounge area off the bar with tables chairs and couches, bar serving food and drinks.All courts clean and well maintained which makes for focused squash playing - enjoyed all my matches. The event was well organised and ran on time. Very good sized old school changing area and shower facilities. Could do with a new fountain as the current one is very slow to dispense water. If I was local then I could see myself using this club for squash!

easily some of the best squash courts I've played on, (although the ceilings are very low). great temperature on the courts and a lovely club in general! comfortable walk from our hotel in the center of Edinburgh as well.

Excellent facilities, and situated in a nice area of Edinburgh. The membership is free, and you can simply pay to play which is nice flexibility compared to the other clubs in the city.Beautiful badminton courts, outdoor tennis courts, and family friendly.

Fantastic venue to play and watch squash. Played in the Edinburgh open, and the organisation and the facilities were first class.Update Dec 2022, Played again at the sports club in the east leagues and the hospitality again was great. Good food and drinks. Many thanks.

Recently had a private event here with the bar and dining room hired for a huge group of badminton players. Not seen the sports facilities so can't comment on that. Staff were really friendly and nice throughout the evening. The chef needs a special mention as well as, for reasons unknown to me, my friend requested if he could have a second helping and ended up with a special dish made on the spot just for him! Needless to say, we all enjoyed our meals.

Great club with excellent staff and facilities. Friendly atmosphere and very welcoming to new members and guests. The club has all sorts of facilities all on the one site which you will struggle to find elsewhere in Edinburgh, especially this close to the city centre.

We had our wedding in their fantastic function room! Julie was brilliant and went above and beyond to provide everything we needed. Guests even managed a quick set of tennis... Would highly recommend!
