Food was actually perfection. Well done chefs!!! Cullen skink was perfectly seasoned and thick. Salmon and scallops were cooked so well that the insides were still soft. Friendly, very good attitude staff though slightly distracted at times. Overall wonderful experience would come back!

This restaurant has won awards for a reason. We have been here two times and both times the food was simply exquisite! Not only the ingredients used are first quality, but they are also put together perfectly! This time my husband ordered a Scottish haddock roll stuffed with smoked salmon, dill sauce, vegetables and mashed potatoes. I ordered one of the chef’s special of the day. I ordered pan seared salmon with a shellfish creamy sauce, season vegetables and I asked to swap the potatoes it comes with by puy lentils. Both dishes were delicious! The service is great, people are friendly and very helpful if you have questions. Portions and prices are right, too. I would say that this has one of the best meals we’ve had in Scotland. Will definitely come back over and over again! It gets busy pretty quickly, so it would be best if you make a reservation ahead of time.

We visited the castle and looked for a place open with good reviews. When we arrived they had the 'closed' sign but we noticed some people inside and asked. Fortunately they received us. The food was amazing, they had a swordfish that I really loved, just look at the picture. My husband asked for the venison and it was very good as well. Super recommendable.

Just a gorgeous place in Stirling to eat lunch and dinner. A variety of good beers, delicious and beautifully prepared food for every taste and preference and a great and super-friendly service. If ever visiting Stirling again that is the place to go!

Incredible restaurant with exceptionally executed scottish dishes. Everything we tried was out of this world. Pork cheek with haggis, duck with chorizo jam, cullen skink, and scallops with black pudding and crispy parma ham are phenomenal starters to try. Great selection of cocktails, whiskys and wines as well. Will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu!

Great food and Service throughout.First time visiting this restaurant. The menu was fairly extensive and probably suits most tastes. We opted for a soup and Cullen Skink as starters followed by a wonderful venison main. Desserts were excellent also, and a really nice organic cabernet sauvignon wine topped off a cracking experience. This won't be your cheapest meal out but the quality is easily worth the extra cost.

Food is made with absolutely top quality ingredients - you can definitely tell. I liked that they didn't skimp on the kids menu either, but also served a sensible portion size for a child. Dealt very well with my husband's gluten and dairy allergies - the menu very clearly stated whether items were/could be made gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian or vegan. Well worth a visit especially if you're craving well cooked traditional Scottish food.

Spent way more than I had expected. Ordered a bottle of pink champagne that was £24. When I tried to order a second bottle was told they didn’t have another. I ordered a bottle of their “house” champagne and was not told it was £72!!! When does a “house” wine cost three times? I ordered a bottle of Malbec and thought it was £22 and found it was £44 (22 in bold print was the year, and faintly off to the side was the £44 price. Food was exquisite, but the wine list will kill you.

Enjoyed a nice small meal here of seared scallops and a bowl of delicious cullen skink soup (sort of a cream-based fish chowder). Parking was surprisingly not difficult although we had to pay the street meter 2 pounds. Service was quick and very pleasant.
