The best Indian Restaurant in the area by a long way. Authentic great tasting Indian food at very reasonable prices. I've never had bad meal their either sit in or takeaway and I've eaten there at lot! I can definitely recommend if you love your curry.

Lovely food but no people skills Purley for that reason I will never order again very hard to reach on phone and when you do you either get greeted by the most polite person on the planet or someone who makes you feel bad for ordering

Having read the positive reviews on here and hungry house me and partner thought we would give this a try. I wish we hadn't, the people who eat at this place have zero taste and have no concept on what a actual Indian curry tastes like. Both curries I ordered tasted the exact same even though they were completely different curries. The lamb was that tough I'm still chewing it as I am writing this. The chicken curry was full of food colouring and bland. There's more taste in my shoe than there was in my curry. The rice, for a minute I thought was cous cous as that's what the texture resembled.I highly recommend that the people who left reviews go to Leicester or London to try what a proper Indian curry tastes like because I can assure you being Indian myself what I just ate was not curry.

We live across the road and love Indian restaurants, so when we moved in, we thought absolutely fantastic! Such a shame the food is horrible. Everything is sooooo sweet, and when I say sweet, tate and lyle must sponsor the place. When food is that sweet, it can only mean one thing.... frozen or bought in sauces as there is no way a chef would put so much sugar in a curry when making it fresh. My advice is to avoid this place and check out Raj Mahal which is just up the road from here, they know how to do a proper curry! A Balti and Madras shouldn't be sweet at all!

Tried a curry from here couple of nights ago as I was so so disappointed... was really looking forward to my food and I can honestly say this was the worst curry I’ve had in Birmingham. And we have curries regularly.. I ordered a lemon and coriander rice which I expect to be and fresh and aromatic. All I can compare it to is Chinese fried rice it was so greasy and all it tasted of was oil no flavour to it... we also ordered peas pilou and there was no peas! I had a chana balti and it was so bland, no flavour in the sauce did not enjoy it in the slightest, I’ve had better curries in Wetherspoons.. there was also bits of grit within the curry that I kept getting as I chewed and it wasn’t very hot... the naan was also very very bland and to top it all off it was expensive! and they didn’t even give any complementary salad or yogurt sauce which I know we didn’t order but it’s just good practice to send some out with the meals and any good curry place always do. I don’t usually leave reviews but I was so disappointed I felt I had to.. If you enjoy good curries avoid this place.

Indian garden is a place more for adults because the food is a bit spicy and there is only some English food like fish and chips. Some children like poppadoms and they have some food that children might like. When I went there they didn't have any pudding because they said they were updating the pudding menu. Inside it is a bit fancy with nice staff but I had to wait over an hour for my food and I rate it 2 and 1 half stars

A local and long standing restaurant of high quality Indian cuisine enjoyed by ourselves, our children, and now our grandchildren. I personally love the lamb vindaloo with extra green chillies and keema play rice. The pricing has always been fair too, linked with very friendly knowledgeable staff, with customer service at the forefront.

Expensive compared to other Indian restaurants for takeaways with higher reviews, sheikh kebabs are not cooked no taste to them, £3.50 for a small curry sauce is over the top. It worked out no different for a takeaway to have a sit in although there should be 10% off for take aways and we collected ourselves, two weeks ago when we had the same meal it was £5.00 cheaper so not sure what's going on there.
