Bupa Dental Care Stroud

Had a letter to say they didn’t accept nhs anymore and that I wouldn’t be able to go there anymore, I was willing to pay full price but she reluctantly said I could stay there, I’m a single mum of 4 and they also said the kids would have to pay too, 3 are under 16. Lovely dentists but the receptionist not so much.

Useless!!Sent a letter out not long ago to NHS patients saying they will only see you in an emergency.Called today with a broken tooth to be told no longer seeing NHS patients.Very poor communication, avoid at all costs.

Was NHS registered with this practice before Covid and find that Bupa took over called today for an emergency appointment and was told that they have no NHS dentist and I'll have to have private treatment.If I could afford private dental care I wouldn't be registered as an NHS patient would and the fact I'm medically exempt no compassion to speak of just another dental practice going down the money grabbing route.Absolutely disgusted

It was very disheartening to know there were no longer nhs dentists available at this practice and not having received any treatment since covid I knew I needed to get back into receiving dental treatment.With a painful wisdom tooth I went to my new dentist and was extremely impressed by his professionalism and it was the easiest extraction I’ve ever experienced!!

Suffered a small chip to a tooth and needed a filling without anaesthetic. Booked in quickly but was NOT advised that it would be as an emergency. There's over £70 to start with....In the chair I explained the issue. Dentist gave me the option of a filling or smoothing off. Given that it would be £250 in total for the filling I opted for the smoothing. She drilled for all of 3 seconds on the WRONG tooth! I pointed it out and was told that it would be £120 for the filling.I wish I had taken the time to think things through as I would have refused to pay. As it was it cost me £118 for nothing. Feeling ripped off and abused by their system. One star is too much for these shysters. Avoid.

Won't even answer the phone. Guess you gotta pay for the privilege of making an appointment. NHS patients can just go pull their own teeth and hope they don't get sepsis. It's just business

Very similar experiences as other reviewers. To have appointments cancelled over 2022 by them, or be told dentists are away, then be told in a sms and letter asking me to call back in Nov if i still needed an appointment, then be told, sorry, all NHS dentists have walked out, go private. So what is the point of even being on a NHS register with them?

All NHS Dentists have resigned, so even people with underlying health conditions and in need of urgent treatment must pay to be seen privately. Reception staff are so used to 'customers' being unhappy they are robotic with their cold, blunt rudeness. Why be forced to be a private customer here with staff having such a horrible attitude, when you can pay private elsewhere? Avoid like the plague. This Bupa practice deserves to rot.

I am so shocked at the significant price difference between nhs and private. My 5 year old boy has just had some minor work done which cost nearly £300. This should be criminal. Where are the nhs dentists? Surely they are out there somewhere? How can this country justify charging to see patients under 16? It’s disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed.

I have been a patient at Archway Dental Practice for many years. I am very happy with the service I receive now it has changed to Bupa Dental Care Stroud, with a helpful and professional service throughout from reception to my dentist and dental nurse. Thanks
