Great spot, flat if you don't take the trip to the trinnacle. Car Park is £2.20 for 4 hours or £4.40 for all day. Ice cream vans pop up on a warm day there. Toilets at the start for reference.

Nice Dayout place. Limited parking available. Parking slot 1£ for 2 hours, contact less card required for payment. 2 walking tracks. Lower down track need more than an hour to complete. Full of nature, surroundings full of variety of birds. Water streams. Pine trees, furn plants almost dry due to winter season. Today temperature arround 0, Need full cover jacket, water proof, and an umbrella according to current weather situation. No food items available on site. Sitting areas available. Wash room available in parking. Boating available onsite. Also seen some people busy in fishing.

Lovely place to walk with the Beagle! The walk itself around the reservoir is a nice long walk with many ways off the beaten track to extend that walk further. There are many trails up into the moors if your feeling adventurous. Beagle was excited to see a couple of birds or prey, a heroin and a couple of pheasant. There are toilets and a couple of food trailers at the car park. Be warned it is a pay and display car park. As I seen a parking warden taking photos near my car on the way back. On inquiry asked if it was the blue XF and he said yes. Which I thought was strange as I had payed for 4 hours. After looking at his photos, he had taken photos of a blue SUV a couple of cars over from me, and was really polite and helpful throughout the misunderstanding on my part!Definitely worth a trip but go early, as when we left at around 11am. It was starting to get busy along with the roads in the surrounding area.

About a 4km walk to go right round the reservoir. Made up path either some slopes. Parking £4.40 all day or £2.20 for four hours. Contactless payment at pay and display machine. Contactless payment worked with a credit card but not with a phone. Adjacent toilets in car park are free.

Good place to have a walk but limited parking is a letdown.

Stunning place to explore.A variety of routes to walk, depending on length, ease of route etcWe chose 2 routes, where we walked a total of 7.5miles.One route was steep and uneven under foot, I would recommend walking bootsTake a water bottle as there are no facilities for refreshments. The scenery is breathtaking, to be amongst nature is just wonderful.I can't recommend exploring this area highly enough,Such an enjoyable afternoon.
