BBC Quay House

I went there to attend the BBC micro:bit live 2019 event during Oct 4-5 in the year of 2019. The BBC Media City is a well kept area which acts as a media hub and accommodates other media houses such as itv etc. BBC Quay House in particular was really great. The building had good security and it was generally very well maintained. Our event (bbc micro:bit live) had participants from all over the world, and it was a big event. In fact, it was the first ever bbc micro:bit live to be hosted by the BBC and the micro:bit educational foundation. I have great memories of the event and the BBC Quay House, as I spent fabulous couple of days there. It has plenty of space to host such a big international event attended by 250+ people from different parts of the world.

Some great spots to visit and some awesome views in the evening when it's all lit up.

I attended here to have an on air radio interview for BBC Manchester, I was greeted by some very polite reception staff and then the production team of the radio program. All the staff I met were very friendly and welcoming. The building itself is a marvel to wonder around, I was quite surprised with how many productions on the television and radio were made here. A very impressive building that's well laid out.

The Quays is a must visit spot for all photography enthusiasts, especially in the evening. Do not be put off by the security guards who will remonstrate with you if you are using a decent camera and a tripod. The whole area was clean and tidy and free from antisocial behaviour.

BBC media city is an excellent place to visit, it big, beautiful and sophisticated area woth lots to do. Their are many broadcasters who reisde here including itv and channel 4. The home of BBC sport and match of the day too. The quays are quiet and serene and the bbc tour is must like if you would like to know how broadcasters operate on a daily basis.

What a great experience this was. Under £15 gets you a guided tour of the BBC studios we visited BBC radio 6 then we went into the match if the day studio. After a visit to the BBC red couch before there afternoon presentation we went into the mock up of this studio and we were given a chance to present the news and weather. Great fun also the daleks were in this room.
