Staff were so much more knowledgeable and polite in the late 90s - the place has been rapidly going down since the early 2000s. Clueless and rude.

My son took a vinyl in to exchange , the staff were amazing with him (he’s only 12) fantastic selection , even I came out with a couple . Thanks for looking after him

Good to buy from but i wouldn't advise selling to them as they pay you rock bottom prices and then the mark up is ridiculous on some stuff. Don't mind anyone making a profit but come on. Great to buy from and staff are always ok.

Good selection of new and old. Had a larger metal section than the other location I went to. Everything is clean and orderly. All the vinyl is well protected and labeled. Would recommend if you’re looking for some music.

Fantastic selection of stock across most genres. Head downstairs for crate digging and clearly labelled sections of desirable vinyl. Friendly helpful staff (you can search online ahead of your visit and take a list, staff will help get your purchases together).

Proper old-school feel to this record shop that has a good selection of new and second-hand vinyl. I picked up signed copy of an album by The Lovely which was a great find. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Manchester.

Great shop. Ive been buying, selling and trading with VE since I was 16 (now 38). Vast stock, and what I love is that I always come out with something I didn't go in for, from just browsing titles, and listening to the music they have playing and taking recommendations from staff. Discovered James Carr, Nora Brown, Jesu, just to name a few. Friendly and interesting bunch, Andy is a top bloke, and so is (sorry, I forget your name) the bald lad with the beard that works downstairs. Grading is honest, and prices (mostly) good, some a little high, but vinyl prices are steeping these days, and they are a business. A++++

First time vistor and what a place. Was helped by a guy in a really nice camo jacket and glasses. We came in for my Son and he was so kind. Even got asked my daughter what music she liked. Will definitely be coming again

Definitely my go to vinyl shop when visiting Manchester. Well sorted vinyl, great labelling, reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff. Recommended for vinyl junkies.
