We booked York Barn at Villa Farm immediately, as soon as we visited. It was the only venue we needed to visit for our wedding as it was so perfect! Our summer wedding was so magical at Villa Farm and ourselves and our guests has a wonderful stay in the surrounding cottages the night of and night before. The team behind the stunning venue can't do enough for their couples and we are genuinely sad to not be in regular contact now that our wedding is over as we really do consider them friends.Our wedding went without a hitch thanks to our coordinators Nicole and Corrina and the rest of the team! We truly had the best day and we had zero worries or concerns as everything was taken care of.The venue itself is beautiful. We were so lucky to have an outdoor ceremony in the grounds and our wedding breakfast inside was everything we hoped. They were really understanding when it came to our decorations and vision and we could not be more thankful!Thank you so much guys for giving us the best day of our lives so far!Rose&Rob

Absolutely lovely place! Hot tub outside which was nice and warm and a bbq also. It was lovely and clean and plenty of room for us all to sleep. The kitchens are great and fully equipped for anything you need including tinfoil etc. We went on a hen do and didn’t feel as though we had to be too quiet.

Where do we even start to begin to explain how great Villa Farm is?We got married here in April and hired 9 of the holiday cottages for the weekend for the guests. York Barn is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding, due to weather we were married indoor but the fairy lights and wooden beams made it a perfect ceremony setting. The fantastic space outside provided amazing scenery for our photographs. Corrina, Nicole and the team at Villa Farm are simply fantastic. Very friendly, welcoming and will make sure your day goes perfectly. The holiday cottages are great, the hot tubs are a fantastic touch and especially great for relaxing with your nearest and dearest the night before your wedding. Thank you so much Villa Farm, can we do it all over again?

We booked York Barn for our wedding this August and couldn’t recommend enough!From our first enquiry with Nicole we were sold, we had the best service, communication was excellent and everyone was so helpful at every stage of planning.Us and some of our guests stayed in the on site accommodation which was perfect and had everything we could possibly need (hot-tubs especially popular!) . The team were so welcoming and helpful. They helped us organise a pizza van to come the night before which was a lovely start to the celebrations.On the actual day the whole team were amazing, ensuring the day ran seamlessly and we can’t thank them enough. We got married at Villa Farm in July '23 and we simply cannot recommend this venue enough. As a family run venue, we were made to feel so welcome from our very first meeting and everything had such a personal touch. Nicole was our co-ordinator and she was an absolute dream to work with, her attention to detail is amazing and we can honestly say we felt zero stress leading up to our day as Nicole took care of everything.On the day, everything ran like clockwork and we could simply relax and enjoy.The onsite accommodation is also excellent and allowed us to enjoy a full weekend with our family and friends. We look forward to staying again in the future and being able to reminisce about our day.A huge thank you to Nicole, Ola, Corinna and the rest of the team for giving us an unforgettable day xx

Where do I begin, this venue doesn’t get the attention it deserves… it is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a rustic, outdoorsy romantic wedding this is the venue. I feel so lucky to have stumbled across it on the search for a venue in York and as soon as we met Nicole to show us around we were hooked. Amazing grounds and the fact they have cottages on site is fantastic. They even have a discount if you book 7 or more cottages. A huge red flag for me and my now husband was to feel rushed on our special day, with a lot of venues having a arrive at 8am and you have to be gone by 10am the next day which I hated. At York Barn We made a full weekend of it, arriving at 12pm on the Friday and a late check out of 1pm on the Sunday. The staff are just amazing and so accommodating, especially Nicole and Corrina. We were so impressed by how understanding and accommodating they were when it came to making adjustments to meet the physical and emotional access needs of some of our guests, they even turned these adjustments into new policy and practice. We can’t thank them enough for making our day so stress free. We wish we could do it all again! Couldn’t recommend York Barn at Villa Farm enough ❤️

Dave and I got married at York Barn on Easter weekend 2023 and it was more than perfect.York Barn was the only wedding venue we viewed and as soon as we saw it we know it was the one for us. The venue itself is so well planned and thought-out, clean and super pretty. There are hooks everywhere to attach decorations, built in sound system and we loved the farmhouse tables available for use! We ideally wanted to get married outside so York Barn provided a beautiful option for us to do this, and we were lucky with the weather on the day allowing guests to be able to enjoy the outside and the terrace. We also loved that we could also choose our caterers which allowed us to personalise our wedding the way we wanted.One of the biggest benefits to the venue were the lovely holiday cottages on site. We wanted to make a weekend out of the wedding rather than it just being the day, and living in London with lots of friends travelling we knew this would be a huge bonus. We had over 80 friends and family staying on site on the Friday and Saturday nights, allowing us to plan activities for the Friday and wander round reminiscing on the Sunday. The cottages are very well equipment, lovely and clean and perfect for a weekend away with your friends – the hot tubs were well used!The icing on the cake for Villa Farm is the team. Nicole was our main contact running up to the wedding and she was incredible. She understood everything we wanted to do and was over every details of our day, we did not have to worry. She was also so quick to respond, provide her expert guidance and advice when needed and supported us with anything we wanted to do, even our confetti pony. Nothing was too much of an ask! The other team members on the day were also excellent. Corrina was there throughout with a smile on her face at all times making sure everything was perfect! Adam – well what can I say, he was there with his ladder when we needed, the golf buggy to bring us round, sorted everything out for Pepper (our confetti pony) and was there with a sweeping brush at the end of the night! Yrina made sure the drinks were flowing!We would recommend York Barn to anyone – it is the most perfect place and you will be looked after from start to finished.
