First African restaurant in the whole of Scotland. Old looking but well taken care of. The food and manager are very good .

COMFORTER IN THE CITY RESTAURANT
Dined in yesterday and had probably one of the worst food experiences to date eating in a restaurant.Ordered the jollof rice with beef and was seated at a table that appeared to have not been wiped down properly. It was a cold night and was really raining outside so was pretty soaked. The restaurant was stone cold with no heaters on to my dismay.Food arrived promptly but had noticed something off about the rice and quickly realised it was gone off.I then complained of the smell and the taste as it was sour and clearly gone bad to the host who proceeded to use a spare knife in front of me to taste the foul rice for himself. I was actually quite shocked by this as you can imagine. After realising I was in fact right he whisked my plate away to come back some minutes later with a fresh plate, and explained that it was a gone off ball of fresh pepper that was added to the rice not the batch itself. I find it very hard to believe anyone can cook with ‘fresh’ ingredients and not notice when they are spoilt and have never experienced anything like this. This second plate was without the spoilt taste , however was completely lacking in any flavour the rice just tasted of salt no seasoning or typical jollof flavour and the beef stew tasted like a gravy you would put on a cheap Sunday roast. Nothing Nigerian or authentic about the food here at all. I honestly would have refused to pay for the main however I had read a review of a woman below who had a another negative experience who was locked inside of the restaurant so paid my bill and have made a mental note to never come back. They should really close this place down.

Omg I had to look for you great restaurant on google search to be able to comment on their tasty meal, oh I give you guys a pass mark. Guys I am new in Glasgow, A single guy that has been looking for good African restaurant to be placing my food order, I have tried the other two African restaurants near me in city center but nothing to write or talk about but the day I tried this food I swear I started praying for the chef inside this great restaurant, cos they really put more happiness, finesse and joy in my belly. I must tell you they cook very good, a reasonable menu prices and well packaged!! OMG a big thanks to the owner, God bless you for the people of Glasgow. I would love to come to your restaurant in person some day as I haven’t been there but been placing/ ordering from you via Ubereat and you guys have been awesome please keep it up best of the best.

BEWARE. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am going to the police to deposit a complaint. I ordered a meal that was absolutely disgusting and quite spicy for me. Had NO idea that jollof rice required a whole bowl of spice. I have ULCER and kindly told him I couldn't eat it. I BARELY touched it. The person I assume who owns the restaurant requested that I pay for a meal I BARELY touched. I asked him if I could order something else at that price, he refused and proceeded to LOCKING ME INSIDE THE RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!!! WITH KEYS. I was ALONE with 2 men!!!!! I eventually paid as I was quite scared of my safety. He also approached me and asked if I knew who he was. I will deposit a claim. And will plaster this all over Nigerian blogs. Locking a woman in a restaurant for HORRIBLE food is insane. DO NOT GO HERE. You've been warned.

The interior is quite boring and dim. The customer service is quite stern.Food wise, it was not at all impressive. There are certain standards you'd expect of Nigerian dishes, but this place doesn't meet the lowest threshold. The 'asun' is just fried meat, 'suya' was just fried meat dusted with paprika. This restaurant wouldn't survive in London. When I was there, there was only one person taking orders, cleaning and serving. All in all, it should take the work serious or just pack it in.

Such a wonderful find in Glasgow. I'm Scottish my husband is Nigerian and this was a fantastic experience while on holiday back to my native city Glasgow. My husband said the okra soup with pounded yam was the best he has ever tasted since his mum passed. Lovely owner too

The best place for Nigerian food and delicacies. Very tasty. You should try the Isi ewu, pepper soup and guiness stout. They have lots of local beer too.
