Lovely, peaceful place. We'll kept lawns, trees, shrubs & pathways. Always clean & tidy plus use of toilet. Plenty of benches to sit on & water taps and watering cans. The groundsmen are friendly and helpful. Beautiful resting place.

I carried out a funeral today as a Celebrant, my first one at Southend. I just have to say that the staff there were amazing. A chap called Lee was so helpful and showed me the ropes and how everything worked, I just wanted to thank him in publicly as it made a huge difference to me, and therefore helped ensure my clients had a well run service. Thank you.

My mum has a memorial here, lovely place. Very peaceful.Not open until 5.30 though. I leave work at 5 and get here usually at 5.20 and it’s nearly always closed. Perhaps it might be to adjust the opening hours on google so people aren’t disappointed to find it closed.

Have lots of family buried here but yesterday while visiting there was a very large funeral taking place and the carpark was literally rammed. Nowhere big enough for that funeral let alone the other and visitors. Scaffolding was all around the tower which l understand work needs doing But there was only one toilet in action..Floor wet No paper and not one assistant available..

Be advised that the published administration 'Open Hours' [sic] neglects mention of closed lunch periods and that from experience (after a lengthy journey within time) early closure may be encountered
