Saw a lovely VWCabrio on the web site , went to view it , drove it , loved it, impressed with the no pressure approach , needed a quick turn round , saw it on Thursday , bought it and was driving home to West Coast of Scotland on Saturday.Went for an mot on the Friday , needed a couple of tyres and a bulb all taken care of at no cost to me , this has been the least hassle of any car I have ever bought ! Not going to tempt the used car Gods but delighted with it , can’t recommend Lyme Green Highly enough ( not related or being paid for this either)Try them and see for yourself Jj

Highly recommended as a First-time buyerWriting these comments after using the Car and service of Lyme green car sale for 5 months.Being from a different country and as a first-time buyer, I don't have much knowledge of CAR servicing, MOT, insurance, etc and I was looking for reliable people who can provide warranty and support in case of any issue with the Car.I have checked i10 on their Lyme green car sale website and visited their place. They offered me the test drive without any questions. Finally bought it from them (Richard) in May 2022 at a very market-competitive rate. Richard is a very nice and helpful guy and really eases the process of buying. The best thing is the Car comes with 3 month AA warranty which I have not found anywhere else around with other dealers.After driving perfectly for almost 3 months, I came across the Air Con problem. I informed Richard and they itself booked my appointment with the Garage. Garage mentioned that the problem is with the compressor and requires replacement. New Compressor and replacement cost more than £500 and the garage advised me to get approval from the AA to order the replacement.Since the Car is under warranty and I don't want to jeopardize the claim, I took help again from Richard.They again booked the compressor replacement appointment, pay the necessary amount to Garage (>£500), and raised the claim. All I need to do is to drop off the car and pick up the car. I am sure they will give me a courtesy car if I would have requested it.Where else you can get this kind of service? I must admit these guys are real gems.The only minor improvement required is to avoid the dependency on Richard as I need to wait for 3-4 weeks for his vacation return to initiate the AirCon replacement. But it was worth to wait :)Again, I have written this honest review after 5 months of usage and would definitely recommend their service.

Fantastic garage. helpful, friendly and I got a car for a really fair price. They did a full MOT before I picked it up and their warranty and breakdown cover gives you extra peace of mind. Would definitely recommend!

If you're looking to sell premium products then make sure your valeter actually bothers to turn up for work. Walked in, saw car, flat tyre, cobwebs, scratches in the paintwork... walked out. No thank you.

Recently bought my new car from Lyme Green Car Sales and found the buying experience fantastic. I wasn't pushed into a sale and wasn't approached by the salesmen as you typically get with used car sales pitches. I got a great deal on my part exchange (which I must add was more than anywhere else I had been). They explained in detail all my options regarding finance, warranties and was able to pay by card which helped me out a lot.All in all was a very pleasant experience and the salesmen knew what they were talking about.When I next come to change cars I will definatley be returning. Cannot recommend enough.

I went to view a car at Lyme Green Car Sales at the weekend (Feb 2015), the chap who showed us around the car was friendly enough and initially helpful, and the part ex value offered on my own vehicle was at least close to what I was expecting, however from that point onwards the level of customer service, (especially for a company who profess to have been around for over 30 years) was lacking. This was highlighted when I asked to test drive the vehicle that I was interested in - not an unusual request when buying a reasonably expensive second hand car, and normally when you ask for a test drive, the dealer will fall over themselves in the rush to grab their trade plates and hand you the keys, not so at Lyme Green, at least not on this occasion, because when I requested to take the car out for a short test drive, the dealer suddenly didn't really seem interested, and immediately changed the subject onto whether I was interested in going ahead with sealing the deal! and no move was made to get the keys, in fact he didn't move from behind his desk.I'm sorry, but any talk about clinching deals, and whether i'm happy with the price should be left until AFTER i've been able to at least take the car out on a test drive, in order to check that the vehicle runs and drives OK, especially when i've just directly requested to do this. In the used car industry surely the whole point is to let the potential buyer take the car out and let the car sell itself?, but exactly how does that happen when the customer hasn't been invited or encouraged to even start the car, let alone take it out for a short test drive, and the request to test drive it is ignored?.I have never bought a car, without hearing it run and test driving it first, and it would be completely foolhardy for anybody to do so and surely a car dealer who has, according to their website, been selling cars since 1983 really shouldn't have to have this pointed out to them a negative review of their service?. In all honesty, in the seconds that followed the dealers' obvious reluctance to let me test drive the vehicle, immediately made me lose all confidence in both the car and the dealer themselves, and I was walking away and heading for the next car dealer.Fortunately, 30 minutes after my negative experience at Lyme Green car sales, I visited another dealer in Warrington with a similar car, within a few minutes of stepping on the forecourt the car was started, the bonnet up and I was offered to take an accompanied test drive, exactly how cars should be sold, and the type of attitude which gives you enough confidence to negotiate and close an amicable deal.Sorry Lyme Green Car Sales, you could have so easily have closed yourself a deal on that slow Saturday afternoon, however because you couldn't be bothered to move a few cars and let me test drive the car, I took my business elsewhere. But that was the result of your choices, and not mine.

We have purchased a couple of cars from Richard (we are local car traders) and the cars have always been as advertised.

Recently travelled over 90mins to view a car here. On arrival I was greeted and handed the keys to the vehicle and was left alone to have a good look round. Was given the time to take it on a test drive and at no point felt pressured. They worked with me on price and a few days later I put it through an MOT which it passed. The previous owner had provided some missing things and a recall letter and the garage posted these on to me and wouldn’t accept any postage. Very happy with the service.

Excellent garage, 10/10 for customer service. There was a minor fault with my vehicle (through no fault of theirs) and they have been really helpful in getting it resolved. Thanks again, would highly recommend!

I recently purchased a new car from Ric at Lyme green. He was extremely helpful, didn’t come and badger us like some garages . And when we did have an enquiry it wasn’t to much trouble for him to help us .The service we received was excellent, 5 stars infact.
