Welcome to the Red Lion Old Marston | Welcome to The Red Lion Old Marston, great local pub serving homecooked food and real ales. All winter our fire will be roaring away in the bar area giving that traditional feel that welcomes locals and all new guests. In the summer our outside area is charming and friendly and we host many mobile homes from the continent.

My husband had the fish n’ chips and an IPA, everything was cooked well and tasted great. I had this delicious curry that was a bit of a surprise, but very welcome after jet lag/travel and a cold, rainy day. It was spiced well, not over spicy and well-balanced. Very tasty meal in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The owner really goes above and beyond in terms of service and running a great local pub. We will certainly return and recommend. Prices were quite reasonable and the food is approachable and very comforting.

The Red Lion, Old Marston, Oxford
I loved it. Absolutely wonderful. The pub is the only one in the vicinity. It has an old world charm about it. It's quiet- you can actually have a conversation. The music is great. Lovely space. Indoor and outdoor seating. The 14 bus passes right in front of the pub, so easy to reach. There's a car park too. What's not to like? Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Lovely pub with a really friendly welcome. Delicious food and portions are huge. Good choice of drinks including real ales. This pub welcomes motorhome homes to stay over on their large car park which is free if you have a meal. Perfect location for a visit to Oxford. Book in advance for both food and motorhomes on line. They get very busy.

Just dropped in for a quick drink when passing on a warm afternoon. The Wadsworth 6X was in fine condition.Good selection of gins too.We didn't eat (too late in the afternoon) but the menu looked to be a good range of standard pub grub. Next time, perhaps.

Nice place to stay for a night. There's a place to stay with your vehicle and your recreation vehicle too. They won't charge you money for your stay, instead, you can have a drink, coffee or even have lunch. The pub is open till 12.00.You can go to Oxford directly from there with the X3 bus. Not far at all.

Pretty poor food, but friendly atmosphereHad the roast dinner. The portions were really good but the quality was poor. Meat very dry, veg floppy, potatoes chewy. Beef was even slightly curling!Desserts were a bit lackluster for £6 too.That were friendly and atmosphere in the pub and the nice. V so Probably best to stick to a pint and chips.(Visit was on 4 June 23)

The Red Lion is a really great place we have stayed twice in our camper in the ground at the rear of the pub, The process is so easy and we happily spend money in the bar on food and drink. It is a great base for Oxford and we have family in Marston who all come in for a meal. The food is good the beer is good both trips have been in the winter and a welcome fire is burning. It seems a local success too as there are always happy customers which is lovely to see in pubs nowadays. The camper Parking is such a massive bonus, it feels rural and village like while being so close and convenient to all that Oxford has to offer. A real Gem! well done the Red Lion and thanks for a great stay. R&W
