Been here a few times now and been cut by both Jack and Steve. Both really top blokes, very friendly and listen to what you actually want. Walked away with brilliant haircuts every time and won’t be going elsewhere. Top men.

A thoroughly pleasant, and relaxing experience from start to finish. A really chilled, and laid back atmosphere. I get 'haircut anxiety' but not in this gaff. They take their time with the cut, and nothing is rushed. Loved my finish both times. The place is super clean and smells great. Oh, and awesome coffee on the go too. Even beers on offer too. Top drawer service.

I’m quite particular when it comes to getting a hair cut as my hair is relatively long so I’m always conscious some barbers aren’t too comfortable with longer styles. But after becoming a customer of Hoi Polloi I’m completely at ease as Steve had trained his team to be confident with all hair types and styles. The team will recommend styles that will work with my face shape and hair type and give the best advice on how to style and what products to use. I always feel relaxed, comfortable and always leave feeling fresh. I can’t rate these guys enough.

As I walked into the Hoi Polloi I was greeted by Scott my transformational hair specialist he assessed my hair and I can only describe his artisty as it was like watching one of the greats work his magic. He handled the scissors with such precision and skill it was like watching a pilot fly a F35 blindfolded. After he had completed my hair he moved onto the beard where he de-aged my face by a decade with his soft hands caressing my face. An amazing place and an amazing barber

Having long hair for a number of years now I decided to use the Hoi Polloi, after hearing great things about their city centre branch and the new Whitley bay brand being closer to me, for a new style. To say I was apprehensive about cutting my long hair would be an understatement. However Steve was fantastic throughout. He talked me through several styles that would suit my hair type and head shape, putting me at ease and giving me an awesome new trim that me, and importantly my girlfriend, love. According to her I look like a new man, and I have to agree! Thank you Steve and the team!

Wow! I don’t normally write reviews but this place is special! I have recently moved to the area and thought I had to share!The level of service is something iv not experienced anywhere else. I had a wet shave and a skin fade and it’s the best I have ever had! The detail and length the staff went to to make me feel comfortable and to totally understand exactly what I wanted was exceptional.I highly recommend and I’m looking forward to returning.

Very good hair cut, absolutely class barbers!Just moved into the area so needed to find a new barbers and I can't stress how good these guys are.Booked in for a cut with Dan and he took the time to learn what I was after. I was open to suggestions and he smashed it out of the park. Dan was super friendly and professional.Booking a cut is straight forward, the price is incredibly good for the level of service you receive, and the skill is top notch.
