Exceptional service from start to finish, from Lyndsay who I dealt with from the first enquiry, who was amazing and accommodating to my needs. The car I looked at needed some work after there thorough inspection, time lines were realistical and I was kept up to date with the progress by Lyndsay and by the workshop manager Jimmy, who again made regular contact and talked me through all the work he was doing. This was also underpinned by Gary (sales manager) who again was fantastic and again was there at the end of the phone if and when I needed to ask a question. The detail they went into in the preparation of my car was something I haven't experienced even when buying a brand new car. When I need my next car there is only one place I will be going to....... Spirit Motors and Gary, Lyndsay & the team.

Absolutely DO NOT BUY from these charlatans. If the reviews let me put it as a 0 star it would be.I bought a BMW 320d with the 'Champagne Package' which means all the inspection, MOT and repairs done by pickup. I'd specifically asked for the AC to be done and it wasn't. I thought it was just a re-gas which I can do myself so whatever. Anyway, engine light came on on the motorway the same day. 'Take it to your mechanic' I was told. £35 on an inspection and they found EGR was the engine light, 2 buckled wheels (£60 to fix) and a coil spring SNAPPED IN 2!!!Spirit then said they wouldn't pay my mechanic to bring it back. Took them over 2 weeks to get the car back to me and the AC still wasn't done. I drove it for 4 miles and the engine light came on again. They took it back, didn't diagnose it for another 9 days and after I hadn't heard anything for another 9 days I rejected the car. Lo and behold it turns up on my doorstep that same morning. I told them I had refused it so they kept the keys, left the car but won't refund me or even reply to emails.Absolute cretins of the highest order. I've been stuck without a car now for 8 weeks, having driven this one less than 100 miles, 35 of which were to and from the dealership and only about 20 without an engine light on!! While they just don't care. Just so cold and callous. The only smooth part of the whole process was them taking the money.It felt like they took so long over fixes to wind down the 30 days they are obliged to fix things. And they just ignore you so you give in or have to go to court to get anything done.

In July I bought a Hyundai i40 at Spirit Motor Company Ltd,and what a surprise I got!! Along with the car I bought the Champagne Package (15 months warranty,new M.O.T with no advisories,etc...) Whilst taking the car for M.O.T the driver noticed a problem with the gearbox and it was sent to a local gearbox specialist for repairs.Whilst there other problems were noted so they contacted me and I went back to the showroom to be offered the same model of carr(Hyundai i40 estate,6 months newer and of a higher spec,and lower mileage than the original car,at the same price that I had paid for the original car!!I accepted the offer and came away with a great car!! I was offered a great deal on my trade in as well!!.I bought also another Champagne Package and received a car that was top notch, couldn't be a better deal anywhere else!! Some paint work was required and the completion of the work was carried out by an outside company,it was a superb job, although I do feel that the contractor let Spirit Motor Company Ltd down a little on the timings involved!!I have completed a tour of the Scottish Highlands with the car and it never missed a beat!!I would definitely recommend Spirit Motor Company Ltd to anybody I know, they were honest with me and kept their word on everything that they had promised me.Incidentally, I took the car on Thursday and on Friday I got a nearside rear puncture, they turned out and changed the wheel for me,we were about 11miles from them at the time, how's that for service??!!I would like to complement all the staff at Lakeland Car Showroom, great job folks and keep up the great work!A great company with a great team of people,thank you for your help and assistance,

Lyndsay is amazing. Unfortunately I had a not so smooth experience with the rest of the car purchase. I drove all the way from Essex to Bolton for the car. The minute I test drove it I noticed the windscreen washer wasn’t working and there was only one key which was a copy. (None of this was stated on the ad) - things did get fixed, just could have been a smoother transaction. The staff are lovely and friendly though.

terrible customer service cars still broken after 7 weeks of repairs dealing with police and ombusman also wigan trading standards as the owner is very aggressive do not go near this place. i stay in glasgow an have had to drive back an forth 4 times thats over £100 on fuel each time to collect a car thats not been fully fixed an still has warning lights on the dash iv owned the car now for about four months now and over 90% of the time i have owned it its sat in there garage car had diff faults yes they fixed that afl light problems not been fixed an damaged bumper ul see the top part of the grill is missing at that was assured to me as a brand new part also the full front bumper paint doeant match the rest of the car as u see in the picture also they refused to fix said it was a stone chip that i had done il tag that photo let u decide for yourself on that please take your money elsewhere im just so glad that i took plenty of photos an recorded every call for proof of time an date an location. now send me a reply saying u have no idea who i am dont lie to make urself look good. sent u email an posted letter and fb messanger and called only two weeks ago to inform u more that the cars in a garage u told not helping ask google since u put a glowing mark on that but just to prove al even add the email a sent to this email in july oh an heres one of every email u told me to send to.ohh like i said on the phone that day theres slater and gordon and the transport union are both taking the case on due to the fact ur not on the ombusman register smart move there. and you will have a letter for court i wont be doin small claims court due to the amount itl be full court were you will hear all the phone calls an pictures an videos an emails to your company an terrible customer support may as well inform u also that vosa have been contacted also because its a crime to sell a car thats not road legal an refused the consumers rights act should be fun to see the out come of that. kind regards

Beware, I bought a car here that had hidden corrosion which turned into a £700 repair within 10 weeks. Contacted them and they were unhelpful. Refused to take responsibility or help with repairs. Looking at small claims process now.
