Carwags Picnic Area
This car park is best suited for those people that wish to visit beacon fell via horse back. The car park can cater for both horse trailers and boxes. They have a water tap and you can access the fell via a permissive path thereby keeping off the road. The fell is a nice ride on a good surface. We found early evening is a nice time to visit as it tends to be quiet.

Very tidy with lots of parking available, only one cooking area though.Carwags could easily accommodate around 25 people at one time and, in my opinion, could only be better with a few more separate cooking areas, to facilitate individual families/parties.There's clean and tidy toilet facilities on site for whatever gender you may identify as.

Great spot with direct access to the fellside walk up to Beacon Fell. Lovely and quiet till about 6 families turned up and too over about half 4 or so. Kids running around with a ball while i was trying to back the van out.

Free parking, public toilets and picnic area. Ideal place to park the horsebox and then follow the bridleway up Beacon Fell.

It was really nice, with picnic tables to enjoy lunch. Then to have a walk through Brecon fell, it was comfortable to walk yesterday with it being abit cooler.

Great spot for a picnic. Close to the woods, amenities on site, well maintained and clean. Plenty of tables and a safe barbecue site. Score.

Carwags Picnic Area
Great place to park. Free parking, toilets and adds a mile through open woodland onto a walk around Beacon Fell. Not much cop as a picnic site though!
