Clifton Village Post Office

I'd rather walk the parcel all the way to the person’s home address than use this post office. The staff clearly hate being there and will find any excuse to make the experience difficult for you. I wish the lady who works on the other counter would take over.

Parcel force delivered my parcel to Clifton Village post office for me to collect, it appears my trade button is invisible for the second time, I am disabled and because of the dreadful weather and hills I asked my carer to collect it, I gave her all the required documents, including my passport and they told her because she was not my wife or related to me they could not give it to her, 2 days later having no choice but to go there in my wheelchair in the rain, as it was a much needed medical device I asked them to confirm what they had said to her and they said because she is not my wife (I'm not married) they would not give it to her, I asked was this Parcel Force policy and they said yes, I doubt that but we will see and hopefully I will never have to go there again.

The shop staff are usually friendly. However I had a very poor experience with the post office counter staff. I have never experienced such an argumentative person in a customer service position before. I asked for her help - a small piece of sellotape to stick down a faulty address label on my parcel. She told me that i had to go back to the shop, buy a roll of sellotape and queue again to send the parcel. When I politely expressed my surprise that she couldn't offer me that small assistance, she harangued me. She harangued me a second time time and put words into my mouth after I had queued a second time to send the parcel. I understand that she may have been operating within post office guidelines. However, her attitude and response were quite shocking. I left before I lost my temper, with her shouting after me.

I’ve been a regular user of this Post Office since it moved to its Regent Street premises some years ago. In the intervening years the burden on its staff has increased with the closure of nearby banks and the volume of return of online goods. Despite this, existing staff have accepted the added workload and deal with each customer courteously, explaining the often-complex matters while observing the necessary confidentiality. Serving behind a post office counter is not as straightforward as scanning a few items but of having a good grasp of many ever-changing procedures and paperwork. I’ve always found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. With post offices closing in rural villages and urban districts we’re lucky to have kept ours and to have it staffed by such friendly professionals.

This is my local post office and it has got to be the worst post office in the country. Went into it today to pay some old £20 notes into my bank account and was told they would not accept them as the cashier was not trained to check for fraud. I had to travel to another post office to complete the transaction, as my local bank has been closed. Will take my business to the Cotham branch where I was able to complete the transaction with no problem.

Visited the Post Office at Clifton for the First Time.It was really busy but they had enough people on their counters and were working hard.I can say the staff luckily when i Visited weren't as rude as described on previous reviews (walked in and expected the worse). They were not kind, nor welcoming; but not rude either. *This is for Post Office staff not the Shops.

This is my local post office, but after a number of bad experiences here I'd rather take the 20 min walk to Cotham. The man that is usually at the post office is very rude and unhelpful, both with common postal problems such as posting parcels, and more specific ones like car tax. Would not recommend.

Excellent post office with great customer service. Always open and always happy to help with any problems I may have. Also has fully stocked and tidy shop!

Massive queue & no parking. Off licence in there is good though

Good little post office I used on my travels to send a recorded letter, nice staff and no queue when I was there & would use again
