Riverside Surgery

Making this comment on behalf of my fiance because this surgery is shocking, been rude to her over the phone multiple times , shes post op now after having apendix removed and wanted to go in to check her wound isnt infected , couldnt get us in today for a 2 minute inspection from a nurse so been told to come tomorrow and also been to bring her own dressings because they dont have any ? A surgery doesnt have basic dressings ? What are we paying for.

Havent been able to make an appointment for months lines always busy or at full capacity. Dr changed my medication dosage without speaking to me and cant ask why .

Called several times and could not book any appointments. You can only be added to the queue after calling exactly at 8AM. Was number 2 on the queue and turned to 1 after 25 minutes meaning they only answered the phone at 8:25. Eventually got through at 9AM! Then only to be told that no GP is available for the day.

Let's hope you only have one ailment, as sadly, you're only allowed to mention one ailment. So, for those like me, with overlapping symptoms and conditions, we are never treated effectively and go unsupported. You only get to see a locum doctor, so waste your 10 minute appointment going over history so they understand your situation, which is a complete waste of time, for both the doctors and patients. You can never get through to book an appointment, with queues from the minute the phone lines open. This is difficult to navigate as a neuro divergent adult with additional needs. We are being failed by the health care system, terribly. Complained to the proactive management, but little change. I have little faith in the process

Huge queues, rude staff, impossible waiting times ...barely any doctors...expect to see nurse practitioners if you are lucky enough not to be turned away ...no asthma clinic, women's health clinics or other things you would expect a surgery to offerNo text service or zoom appointments ...it skills and services from the last century

Rude staff on reception, should not be in the caring field. Locum doctors who are just interested in getting you off the phone and can be very patronising. Gone gone hill drastically in the last 2 years

Can never get through for an appointment, even when you call dead on 8am when they open, lines are always full. I could be trying all morning but never get through then if you finally do somehow get through about 300+ attempts you are rudely told all appointments are full and try again tomorrow.

Rude reception staff that give conflicting advice. 4 weeks before even getting an appointment for something potentially fatal, assumed telephone diagnosis and being palmed off with antibiotics that following alternative consultation at NPT hospital were advise were not sutiable.Currently launching a compalint with the health board and ombudsman. Would discourage anyone from using this surgery.

I was told that I need to make an appointment to speak to a doctor in person and to ring at 08:00 the following day, two weeks later I still haven’t been able to make an appointment and the queue is always full and I get cut off, if I eventually get through later in the day all appointments are already taken HOW?, today I even went down to the surgery against all advice and after waiting in a queue for 15mins for a receptionist to appear at the desk I was told to keep trying on the phone and that he couldn’t help me, I HAVE BEEN IN THIS PRACTISE MOST OF MY ADULT LIFE, and it has never been so poor, not only do I not know the names of the doctors in the practice when asked who my doctor is, it has become impossible to arrange any sort of help. Very very angry and disappointed
