Had two excellent meal at The Anvil Inn Sawdon. Fabulous food andservice. Friendly and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend having a meal there

Excellent food, and situation normally would merit 5 stars, but the evening was completely spoilt by the chef having a Gordon Ramsey tirade, F-ing and Blinding against a young member of staff, in the kitchen clearly audible not only in the restaurant but outside in the garden. Such a shame, that our evening was spoilt in this manner. Ramsey belongs on the tele, not in real life.

The Anvil Inn ~ under new management
Would definitely recommend a stay at the Anvil. Very comfortable room, great location. The owners are very freindly. We had meal in the pub in the evening. Which was really goodas was the breakfast the next morning.
